Msfs not starting after download install

I have installed msfs over gamepass but when i try to start the game nothing happens.

can somebody elp me with this?

regards

It might be that W10 has a corrupted Windows App file list…and when you try the blue start icon…windows says that it ā€˜can’t find’ the installation. Simply it can’t… What would cause this? A slowly failing HDD or SDD drive. I had this happen to me, three times…and found that with looking to have to reinstall the sim a fourth time…I did lots of research, and decided to replace my HDD with a same capacity SSD. I then installed my C: System Back Up Image, onto the SSD, and was off to the races. Since the reinstall, and the system having a new C: System Drive, not one problem to start MSFS time after time, after time. …, it was my failing HDD that was the culprit for the failures to start the sim.

I have a fast SSD in my pc and i also tried to install it on two other hdd drives with the same result.

When you say it won’t start…

Do you mean…

  • ā€œnothing happensā€?
  • ā€œXbox logo comes up and then just a black screenā€?
  • ā€œLoads part way then goes back to the desktopā€?
  • other?

What are your system specs? CPU/ GPU/ PSU/ Memory?

Nothing happens at all not even a xbox logo.

I have a gigabyte b450 mainboard with amd ryzen 5 1500 cpu a gigabyte gtx 770 4gb gpu and a gigabyte 750 watt psu.

I was in the closed beta of the game and everything worked well.

Hey,

Just to cover our bases have you checked this article out?: Download & Installation guides – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support (zendesk.com)

i did checked that article

Start here: Installation issues with Game Pass – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support (zendesk.com)

I would also do a search for the GTX 770. Although, during the beta, things may have run fine, there have been some changes since then and some users with the 600/700/800 series cards have encountered some issues.

Thank you i have done everything that is described in this article but it doesn`t work at all.

but it should still do something.

So I also had this problem and had to reinstall. Took me ten hours to get back to where I was just for it to have the same error. I’d open flight simulator, black screen, mouse pointer showing. I don’t know where I saw it but someone suggested to adjust the audio output and will fix the problem. A 2 second fix, IE for me, turning on my receiver for the a different selection of audio, problem solved. For me, I have my video card outputs, HDMI1 directly to TV, HDMI2, directly to receiver for surround sound. So when my receiver is off, flight simulator fails to load. Turn on my receiver and like magic, it all works again! Hope this helps for you.

I can install from the game pass app but when i try to start the install from flight sim nothings happens at all.

Have you fired up the event viewer to see if it is recognizing a failure?

i have checked it this is what i get:
