Since ago this update 1.31.22.0 was forced to swap-off almost any scenery in Community folder (95%) if not MSFS still turning on check for update without start , planes in community staying working but when I try to add one more scenery by regular install same issue till I’ll remove it … that occurs only since 131.22.0 … before that all was good … very irritating .
Vote there please:
Cheers
Hello,
Welcome back to the forums. We ask that people not use General Discussion for help, advice, or troubleshooting. Please use one of the green Community Support subcategories. I have moved your post to Community Support > Tech Support.
I have also renamed your title, as “Big issues with 131.22.0 update” is difficult for anybody scanning the list of titles to understand what your issue is about. If I did not accurately describe your situation, please feel free to edit it again.
Unable to find any help with this same issue. It’s been weeks now since Sim Update 1.31.22 and I haven’t been able to access MSFS since. Checking for updates! I’ve spent thousands of dollars on this sim and its add-ons and hardware. Now I can’t get in and no one at Asobo seems to care whether it’s fixed or not.
How many items do you have in your Community folder?
Probably over a thousand. Why? Is there a limit?
I don’t think that there’s an intentional limit, but there is a bug right now for people with a large number of items in their Community folder:
I don’t know if the “official” number is exactly 1028 or if that’s just what that user saw on their system. But there does appear to be some kind of bug here. You may want to try moving some stuff out of your Community folder and seeing if that helps.
Given there is a cause and effect with the Community Folder, it may require you to start isolating which Mod(s) may be contributing to a failed Start Condition.
The rule of thumb is to cut your Community folder in half, load one half in and see if the condition persists. If it does, then your suspect mods are in that half. Rise and repeat. If the condition doesn’t occur, try the other half.
The other way is to ensure all Mods are updated, and the authors confirm they’re SU12 compatible and tested. Some websites that host Community Mod source files provide this rating, others may require independent confirmation. Remove the ones that aren’t certified and test again.
Hi,
My community folder is empty, but I still get the issue that the start hangs in the splash screen of FS 40th anniversary for hours…
At the begining it asks me to use or not the save mode … both save and normal mode are hanging and the games doesn’t start.
any hints ?
thanks
Hello, I have been observing this problem since the day of the last update. The day before everything was fine. Also, it is definitely a matter of the amount of installed packages in the OneStore folder and NEITHER in the Community folder, NOR an outdated package in both. As a weekend commuter, I use two PCs (different machines, with different content) and the same behavior is observed on both PCs.
Continuing the discussion from MSFS stuck on checking for updates after 1.31.22.0 unless I empty my Community folder:
I therefore remain with my problems that appeared just after having had the update 131.22.0 all the scenery purchased in the community crash the start of FSMS while remaining on the update check and I must be satisfied with it …
undeniably the last update made the launch of FSMS very capricious, I tried several manipulations which seemed to have an effect, only to be disappointed again on the next launch. yes this update has a problem because before that FMSM started each time 131.22.0 was not a success far from it, it only remains to hope that this problem is quickly fixed. in the meantime I went back to “p3d5” while waiting for the release of Xplane 12 which starts them without problems
