Not sure if this is related to the H125, or helicopters in general. When trying to land on the roof of some buildings, there is a super abrupt, super violent onset of the ground effect that throws the heli into an almost uncontrollable fit. Anyone else observe that?
Jealous I am in love with h125, dont know why but I love that heli in real life so much.
The flight model is horrible. Controlling the H125 compared to the G2 and R66 is all over the place. Stable controlled hover is very difficult to achieve and anti-torque pedal input is very abrupt. Its implementation seems rushed unlike the G2\R66 which seems to have been quite refined comparatively.
Some people donĀ“t understand, Airbus use the same stick grip on most helicopters, but not all of them use all the functions, like the basic H125 with no autopilot there is no reason for trim release because there are no trims to release and with no trim motors it will be really hard to adjust themā¦
Same, other helis fly good, but this is unflyable imo
The H125 has a hydraulic system. Force trim is in a H125.
Yeah, I have to hold a lot forward stick at higher speeds. I could get around it by changing the axis curve
Force trim is not the same as hydraulic boosted controls. Not all H125s would be equipped with the Force trim system. It would require direct FFB support to work how it does in the real thing anyway.
What are you trying to achieve? If the trim isnāt working in this one, that would be a concern for standard spring centered joystick users.
so people on a regular joystick and no pedals have to hold full forward deflection and twist grip the entire time while flying? i want to enjoy this heli but it is genuinely giving me wrist pains already, and since it is the only option for most heli career missions I donāt really know what weāre meant to do here! sometimes realism for the sake of realism isnāt the answer - imo this helicopter is unflyable on a very standard setup, and having an option for an āunrealisticā trim release system like hypeās H145 or like any DCS helicopter would make this much more fun and flyable
like weāre not talking about an autopilot/SAS trim but an ability to set the virtual collective to one position and leave it, so that people on a joystick donāt have to hold full forward deflection the entire time they fly
as far as I can tell there is no current way to trim this helicopter, trim release, trim axis, trim buttons, nothing actually trims this out no, my bindings work fine on the G2 for example but Iāve tried every combo of trim buttons I can imagine and nothing is able to trim this out, so that I have to hold my joystick full forward the entire time just to fly forward
So, this is how it is with real helicopters that donāt have stability augmentation systems. You, the pilot, are the system. This is how the realism should be modeled.
ā¦but, I understand your position from a usability standpoint. I hope they get the trim bug, or lack of sorted. What about using the tail rotor assist option for now until it get s resolved?
I think thereās just a big difference between at home simulator hardware and the actual controls in a helicopter, and having a way to bridge that gap doesnāt have to be at the cost of realism (especially if itās just an option), because having to hold a little joystick forward for like 2 hours is just genuinely uncomfortable and while the 125 is the only option in most of the career stuff itās just a bit unfortunate, I mean we have aircraft configurations now, maybe down the line we could get a simple AP+SAS option if thatās something that exists in real life? that would be enough really
All Helis need a trim solution to account for users with center sprung joysticks. Itās not reality itās just accommodation for sim setup. DCS has a fine trim solution where one press sets the new ācenterā. Works easily to relieve the pressure.
Itās frustrating and physically tiresome to fly long stretches without it. I did a 30 minute free flight in the 125 and had to get out of there due to wrist trauma and came here to see whatās up.
Sad to hear itās the only heli in career mode, I will let the career rest til this gets resolved I guess.
I found one that while hovering the helicopter will yaw to right or left abruptly for 1 or 2 sec making it go out of control. Even with dead zones on my controllers. Cant understand because works great on g2
Itās missing the cockpit alarms, fire test, and some chime sounds, and doesnāt have the warning light test to key bidding , thereās no force trim, just little adjustments that I know most people would like, and it would be nice the rain or water clean the fuselage or if the avatar could put the covers to set, walk around, to cold and dark after flyingā¦ and the fadec pointer is very slow compared to the real aircraft, but itās handling very good at least itās the best for now, but it is missing the servo test too and vemd is very poor without those functionalities, thereās no fuel time and fuel consumption is very higher than normal fuel usageā¦
I know all of this, even if you dont have an ffb joystick pressing the force trim and then releasing at the attitude you want should get the heli there regardless if your joy stick springs to center in your sim. If you look in 2024 there are buttons for trim and trime release and you are able to click them. They are meant to be impleted in the sim and they are not working yet. Asobo isnāt thinking about grips across aircraft from the same manufacture. They put it there and made it an interaction for a reason. I understand how trims work in real life helis.
I agree. Just for kicks I tried on an xbox controller and now have to go to the ER for thumb trauma just kidding no but I was flying in my full H145 physical cockpit with heli controls and holding the stick forward when it starts to pick up speed isnt ideal
This is why Iām looking forward to hype making the H145 function in fs2024 like it does in fs2020. Itās so comfortable to fly.
Is the default view bugged for anyone else? Mine is sat under the fuselage and between the skids.
EDIT A restart of the sim resolved this.
See this thread, sounds like what you are seeing?
I couldnāt use the walkaround feature for the first few days due to the camera always being in the ground. A āresetā in the app settings in Windows (I have the MS Store version) cleared it. May be worth a go.
Back to the H125, I tried it today in free flight and some landing challenges. Itās not bad but controls still very twitchy as with most MSFS aircraft. Prefer DCS helicopters still.
Is the rotor RPM gauge missing a needle? The digital value is shown but I have no needle, just the arcsā¦
Couldnāt find a bug report so might just be a glitch with the streamed data for meā¦ thought Iād check before posting a bug report.
