Without trim it’s pretty hard, maybe it doesn’t have trim irl, but flying 108 nm in the h125 yesterday about 58 minutes, my thumb still hurts today having to put the thumb stick forward on the controller so long. I can’t even play the sim today because of the pain.
Did anyone else find that the liveries are jumbled up?
As in this example, the thumbnails do not match the models which are actually shown above when you select them:
Official 01 should be white, but is grey:
Flight Seeing 01 should be white and blue but is black:
Flight Seeing 02 should be gold but is red and yellow etc.
Probably just an aircraft.cfg file error with the assignments. A bit sloppy, like a lot of other areas.
Does anyone know how to get the retractable taxi light to be swivelable? I have the “Taxi light up/down/left/right” controls bound and confirm that they do work, but I’m not seeing any response in the cockpit or in the external camera:
Stop trim the helicopter and start flying it!
rotor brake does nothing… instructions make it a requirement to stop the rotors. guess i’ll spend a half hour just waiting for my rotors to stop.
Turn on the Battery. The brake just work with power…
Trim not working (besides, all helicopters need a working force trim solution for spring centered sticks. this has been a problem since MSFS2020).
Helicopter flight models in general have multiple glaring issues (including the ground effect bug that was already fixed in MSFS2020 but somehow it’s back now).
I am absolutely stunned how this mess got through quality control. Please get some testers who have helicopter experience. Or at least take a close look at DCS helicopters; this is the standard you should aspire to.
I see great potential in MSFS2024 but please Asobo, stop adding useless eye candy and put more effort into the “sim” part of your flight sim. This is a disgrace.
Did you share your snippets on Spad ?
I flew around 45 minutes and used a quarter tank which would give me 3 hours of flight time although it showed almost 300 kg/h of consumption.
I found some numbers that say in reality it should use around 180 l/h and that would be close to 150 kg/h of Jet A. That would make the consumption 2x too high. But this doesn’t fit my flight times and fuel gauge.
Something is definitely wrong. It wouldn’t surprise me if there are just some conversion errors with all the kilos, pounds, gallons, liters and fuel density. Because let’s be honest, that is confusing
Force trim actually works now in all helicopters except the H125. See this thread for more info: Working Force Trim Release for (some) helicopters in MSFS2024
You can’t see your cargo trough the vertical reference window there if the longline isn’t longe enough
I shared a post here detailing the script, which came from another Spad user. Find your LOCAL:JOY ID, cut and paste and you’re good to go!
The h125 with two pilots control does have force trim, just 1P, is on the friction control on the cyclic and in the collective…
so you are saying if you turn the frictions off the trim works?
the compensator doesn’t work for me too
Has anyone been able to figure out the click spot to hide the tablet? It’s eating up a lot of window space.
on the right side of the tablet, there’s a button just like a physical button on the tablets. It’s very small but once you find it, it will hide the tablet, not the holder though.
I’ve flown a 1h30 flight today and the flight time and fuel gauge were matching the consumption. I was keeping around 120kts speed and the consumption varied from 280 to 240 kg/h, getting lower the emptier the tank was, which is logical. So yeah, looks like somewhere there there’s a kg used while it should be lbs.
Oh, interestingly the best IAS to fuel consumption was at around 67-70% collective, more than that wasn’t adding much to my speed or was even making it worse.
Same thing here - trim does not work for the H125
Because the H125 IRL doesn’t have trim. It would be nice if the devs gave us the quick trim (unrealistic) option to save players’ wrists/thumbs.
