[MSFS2024] Airbus Helicopter H225

I would like to say that i love this helicopter, but a completely unusable barometer and no working upper modes on AFCS is not what i expected from HPG. Microsoft and Asobo have put this developer in a undeserved bad light.

I purchased the Aerosoft aviator bundle in September. Since I received my code to upgrade, I have been unable to fly the H225 helicopter. I am currently playing on the Xbox Series X (galaxy version). I load in to attempt a start-up procedure and the game crashes. I load in as ready to fly. The engines are going, rotors are spinning, cyclic moves, and rudders move, except for the collective. The collective appears as if it is unfunctional and can not be used. I exit the helicopter, and it crashes the game again. I have un-installed the game, and it seems like there is no fix. The one aircraft I purchased the game for, I canā€™t fly. Please help.

Iā€™m in this same position. Collective and throttle do nothing. Using Xbox controller, tried numerous different bindings and nothing. Also tried with assists on and off still no control of collective or throttle.

Throttle should be left at max for flight. The governor manages it once startup is complete. If you are loading the aircraft running, you really donā€™t need an axis assigned to throttle.

You do need ā€˜collective axisā€™ bound. Iā€™m not on Xbox , so I may not be much help, but myself and other users have found some conflicts in the control system.

When in the control settings menu, if there is a number next to an assigned axis or button, that means there is a conflict.

can we get H225 into standard version please

Iā€™m getting a CTD everytime I load into a flight with the H225.

Weird, I have flown H225 very often and 1st CTD happened yesterday, after about half hour.
Today I did same route and didnā€™t crashed.
Total duration about 2 hours.

Does this chopper have force trim implemented in the sim? If so, how do I use it? Do I need to bind a trim release button?

On Xbox, with this latest update has this Aircraft been completely removed?? Itā€™s not showing in my list of available aircraft, and isnā€™t in my library so canā€™t activate it.

Iā€™ve still got it but the pilot avatar still spawns in the middle of the aircraft and I didnā€™t see it as one of the updated aircraft in the patch release notes.

How do you get inside the cockpit? I opened the doors and nothing works for me to get inside.

shift+c is the default key command

The helicopter can be trimmed. You need to bind at least longitudinal and latitude trims. The external hud needs to be changed to show engine info and trim info, but it is there.

Thanks. Do you know if it has force trim also, I think thatā€™s what they call a trim system using a magnetic clutch. In sim, this would work something like this; push and hold the trim release button, then move the cyclic to the new neutral position, then release the trim release button. Then you bring back the cyclic to neutral, unless you have a force feedback yoke. I think the real H225 has such a system I would assume.

What is going on? I canā€™t get the H225 to take off. Iā€™m pretty sure my binds are correct but the throttle/collective seems broken. I canā€™t even interact with the throttle/collective in the cockpit using lock mode.

As default the H225 in the sim has automatic follow-up trim for both cruise and hover. So you donā€™t even need to use force trim, the helicopter does the trimming automatically for you.

You can change some settings in the MFD, there is a button labeled something like ā€œmiscā€ that shows the input and trim position, and some config buttons. But it is not as extensive as in the payware H145/H160.

HPG are working on a first update, now that they finally have access to the release version of MSFS2024. This was not part of sim patch 1.2.7.0, no idea when the update will be available. I hope this will enable the upper modes (auto pilot HDG/NAV/ALT/etc).

Sadly not correct the later Airbus Helicopters usually have SAS or AFCS but it shouldnā€™t be on permanent otherwise how can a helicopter tell what is an unintentional input from wind or turbulence or deliberate pilot induced movement. usually these augmentation devices would not be used during pick up or set down either

Does anyone else have the problem, that after entering and leaving the pause (esc) menu - the helicopter just is jittering and not really flyable anymore.

Thats a known issue and is universal to all the Hype choppers. I was surprised to still see it present in the H225 now that its a first party addition to the sim. I always thought it was to do with some sort of external code running.

Ok, I never had this happened to me in the 145/160. I hope this gets fixed someday.
