Buts it’s not enhancing stock capabilities is it. It is fixing obvious errors and misrepresentations of things that make the aircraft actually usable as opposed to not being useable.
Adding a Pro Line Fusion to the King Air 350i would take a lot of work just like it did the other avionics that Working Title overhauled. In my opinion it would have been better if Asobo (Carenado?) stuck a Pro Line 21 into the King Air 350i which is what the King Air 350i was equipped with when it was introduced in the late 2000s.
The G1000 Mod by Husk for the King Air does enhance the base aircraft. As mentioned, the question of why it was published in the state it’s in can only be answered by Microsoft.
The thing is if asbo wanted to make life easy, instead of putting the Proline screens in the cockpit they could have put the g1000 3d model in. Which does indeed exist on the 350, so it is a bit confusing as to why they’d mix and match. Other than the fact it is almost a garuntee they were in a rush, along with limited and little research and testing before release.
No doubt this is just how it will be forever.
They already had PL21 for the Citation, a few little adjustments to make it work for the Beech 350. But this will likely not happen, we are waiting since release of FS2020 for Asobo to fix this lemon.
To my knowledge there is no such thing as a King Air 350i with a G1000 NXi avionics suite. Only the Pro Line 21 and Pro Line Fusion. There is an STC for older King Airs to get such an upgrade.
I belive the G1000 stc extends to most of the B350 line up. I have heard of people removing the fusion and fitting a G1000 in various king airs.
As pointed out the Proline 21 could have been added as it already features in some respect in the sim.
They shouldn’t have added the B350i if they couldn’t be bothered to put any effort into the actual functionality of the avionics. It’s quite frankly baffling that did this in such a half ■■■■■ way and second of all, haven’t done anything about it.
There is an assumed level of usability that should come with the aircraft, I appreciate we can’t have every aircraft at the highest level. Out of the box this misses simple basics.
Anyway I’ve said enough on this thread, quite frankly things like this really put me off MSFS entirely.
I’m talking about the King Air 350i specifically. The 350 model itself is pretty old (1990 is when it came about if I recall) but the 350i isn’t. Again I don’t think that there is a 350i with a G1000 NXi. I think you will only find them with the Pro Line 21 or Pro Line Fusion.

is it working for 2024? it’s written incompatible (hasnt been updated for more than 1 year)
That mode does not work in 2024. Please try using this other mode.

Military only.
Man this plane needs so many fixes, i hope they add in an efb holder, engine instruments and wx next
Maybe I overlook something but in the images I see engine info. Still I am not able to get that info. What do I have to do? Btw. the sim is a windows version.
I see, it disappeared after update 2
It was removed for whatever reason.
I actually find the 2024 version of the king air 350 to be worse than in msfs 2020. It looks better but overall functionality is less than the 2020 version. In my opinion why is the best aircraft the worst developed even right back to FS2004. Than stock Baron G58 is a more functional aircraft.
What a cluster - most of the buttons and switches don’t work, the avionics are partially implemented, approach doesn’t work on the AP etc. Of-course when I was finding all this out was a career mode mission with a difficult RNAV approach (and for some reason the charts weren’t available either).
It annoyed me so much I forgot to put the landing gear down (the gear warning horn doesn’t work either by the way) and belly landed.
Add to this the ATC going bananas and because IFR taxiing at Gatwick hadn’t triggered the ‘taxi’ stage of the mission properly so I got a warning for exceeding the taxi speed limits while on final, and the belly landing not triggering a ‘landing’ event even though I was on the ground, so it just sat there on the tarmac stuck. Until I aborted the mission, tanking my reputation, and throwing in game money in the bin.
All in all a frustrating experience.
Ok - tried again, and the thing just plummeted out of the sky randomly - not a failure or anything, literally just flipped out and pointed straight down - but stayed the same airspeed as cruise (so a total physics fail).
This is garbage, I’ve been pretty positive about this game even with the bugs, but honestly spending time earning credits in Career mode, to obtain this, which is clearly nowhere near ready for a commercial release, has left such a foul taste in my mouth I am considering chucking the game in entirely, cause what’s the point in grinding if this is the result?
As a software dev IRL - I am absolutely appalled, this is a commercial release.
I’m in total agreement, with everything (including being a (now retired) software dev). The 2020 King Air is fun to fly in 2020, but it certainly has its problems. I was hoping its eccentricities would be calmed in 2024 but it seems it’s much, much worse…just like everything else in 2024.
