[MSFS2024] Beechcraft King Air 350i

Something so fundamental to flying the aircraft and still they choose to ignore it. Can’t get my head around it.

So much for testing!

You can copy the one from FS2020 to the community folder if you have 2020.

How can I do this?

I haven’t tested the King air since a while, we can now do a proper flight plan? The last time I‘ve tested in January I can’t set the departure, arrival or approach in the avionics.

Almost all of the G3X avionics functions are working. Since it was made by WT, it’s excellent.

However, the only thing missing is the engine info.

You can also create a flight plan on the map and send it, and it works fine.

Also, if you create a flight plan directly on the G3X after loading the aircraft, it works perfectly.

As mentioned earlier, the engine info is the only thing missing.

Appart from the fact that the 350i does not come equipped with G3X, it should have Proline Fusion. I wish they could port the C90GTx Proline 21, that would be a lot closer to reality.

Without engine instruments, all other updates are useless. Unflyable…

The lack of engine info for this plane just about sums up the whole experience of MSFS2024 - so near yet so far … and this is over one year since MSFS2024 released. I accept that SU4 brought so many improvements, but the sim is still not in a state to justify me moving fully over from 2020.

Interesting that you can see the charts on the avionics, but we still don’t have the engine instruments. I’ll continue using the Pro line 21 mod in the 2020, Asobo still doesn’t convince me to use this Frankenstein of G3X. Or we can have a add-on to put the Pro line 21 or G1000 instead of the default avionics in the sim.

The plane is still in a pretty sad state after SU4.
As already mentioned, the engines stats are not reported on the screens, but that’s not the only issue.
The AP is not very practical and buggy.
The Vrefs are wrong.
Most levers in the cockpit completely lack sounds.

It is not unflyable, but it is far from how it should be 1 year after release…

I would only fly the 350i in 2020 with this mod. The G1000 NXi mod was also worthy. Before those existed, the plane was hangared. It would be great to have one or both back some day in 2024.

That seems to imply that it is a single file or group of files that can simply be copied over from one location to another. If that is indeed the case, then how about sharing details.

If you have FS2020

Copy from

Ah, interesting. Thank you for the info. It really is a matter of copying that one file and then you have engine instruments ? Huh !

I own MSFS2020 but dont have it installed at the moment.

You’d think that if the solution is a simple file copy, that it would be just as simple to put it up to download somewhere.

You’d think it would have been done a while (year) ago.

For anyone who uses axis and ohs with a StreamDeck, I have created a profile that replicates the engine instruments from MSFS2020

King Air 350i Engine Instruments

I hope Asobo can bring in Pro Line Fusion after WT completes that for Praetor 600. They should also fix the configuration (e.g wrong MTOW and wrong max IAS decals in cockpit)

Finally, some engine readouts in the su5 beta, I hope they can keep improving on the avionics of this plane

They can start by ditching it being equipped with a G3X as no King Air 350i in existence is equipped with it and replacing it with a Pro Line Fusion or if they modified it a little bit equip it with the Pro Line 21 which is what the early King Air 350i was equipped with.

I think implementing the proline fusion would be the most straightforward but i doubt these fellas are planning to do something like that
