A few months ago on Reddit, I saw a post where a WT developer commented that it took a team of 5 to 7 people about 8 months to create an evionic like the G3X.
As you said, it seems unlikely that new evionics will be added.

they could have done a proper Kingair 350 with a PL21 long time ago. they havent and maybe this is good news, gives 3rd party devs at least a chance. if you look at the C90 from carenado, no thank you.
This was my favorite airplane and now I donât want to even look at it (MSFS 2024 default A/C). I completely moved to MSFS 2024 but I really miss the MSFS 2020 **Steam Gauge Overhaul - Analog King Air.
**
Itâs a shame that no one is actively working on a study level version of the aircraft.
Black square is.
Thatâs what they name âmove onâ even the real life world people update there aircraft with glass panels. How ever its fun flying classics i wonder why donât you have fly the 404 Titan or Saab 340B ?
Saab 340B
Cessna 404 Titan
Flying the Cessna in FSEconomy after having 3000+ hours King Air and have great fun with this Cessna model.
Both models are well modeled and Asobo / Microsoft took care it all works properly.
The Cessna 404 is supposed to be turbocharged and you shouldnât have to lean the engines until upto 16,000 feet (I think) but in the sim it immediately starts to lose power and needs to be leaned in a climb. Thatâs a big deviation, great plane otherwise no doubt.
Thats correct, Gauges and leaning makes the fun we all love. Fly the airplanes. Over the past 30 years I had to change a lot models but love the B350 since FSX spaceship mission.
The 404 isnât used those days for itâs old engines and replaced by the 414 with his turbocharged engines what we donât have insimâŠ.
404 does have turbocharged engines and should not have to be leaned until 16k feet.
No engine gauge , avionics are not usable, donât like at all
I wonder why so many switches are INOP in the 350i cockpit when the exact same switches are operable (and modeled probably) in the C90
Difference in developers and expectations, I guess - I believe the 350 is Asobo and the C90 is Carenado.
Are there any previously mentioned plans to bring the 350i upto standard?
âup to standardâ is a bit vague - itâs already at âaâ standard, just not everyoneâs standard, I guess. If youâre asking if there have been specific announcements about improving the default 350i, no there havenât - but there are virtually never any such announcements about improving default aircraft, yet they generally improve with every Sim Update, at least incrementally.
No i meant that some commonality in function between the two aircraft would be nice, even if theyâre made by two different devs and use two different avionics packages.
Again, updates and changes in general have never been announced in advance, so while that might be in the plans or even in progress, no one here will know about it until it has arrived.
Copy that, hereâs hoping a dev is strolling through this thread taking notes
Yes from blacksquare. But he is creating a new one.
I was refering to a First party dev XD
Bumping for visibility.
Also, Iâve tried SU 5 beta, and it does show new engine readouts, but itâs still very bare bones. This cockpit seems to have been made according to a minimum viable product spec, half the switches are INOPs. And Iâm not gonna install MSFS 2020 just to pretend a plane was correctly imported to 2024.
Really hoping for someone to develop a study-level King Air 350âŠ
As a licensed pilot and one that has flown King Airs, this âofferingâ would NEVER make it to the flight line in the real world. For starters letâs cover the FAA and manufacturerâs requirements that are NOT met to be certified for flight:
Master warnings inoperative.
Avionics (Navigation screen) constantly resetting/unstable.
Auto feather inoperative.
GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning System) inoperative.
Bleed air inoperative.
Prop sync inoperative.
In short, a â â â â poor job done on YOUR programming side. Now you can make excuses and point finger and that doesnât fix anything. So let me give you a suggestion, the King Air 90 GTx has a GREAT layout and has both the annunciator and warnings on the avionics (as in the REAL world). So, logic says take the â â â â programming that you have and either fix it or replace it with the 90 GTx flight panel. Or give the 90 GTx tip tanks that extent its range (the one I flew had 2000 nm range with tip tanks, reserve and main). I like the 350i in many ways, but the 90 GTx is correctly done just not able to get the longer VIP missions. Can the lighting in the cockpit be turned off for night flights in the 350i?
