MSFS2024 Can't pan with the mouse in Cockpit view

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

In CockpitView I can’t pan with my mouse (Logitec, also used other mouses issue still remains). When in external view everything is fine. The panning works as well when doing the walk-around of the aircraft. Also, wierdly, I can’t press any buttons in the cockpit. When I Switch HomeCockpit off I can press stuff in the cockpit but I still can’t pan. There seems to be an issue on Xbox as well, see here for the Reddit post.

•Hello everyone,
PC - RTX4070 - Wired Logitech G502 Mouse
In msfs2024, regardless of the aircraft used, I cannot get the mouse to work properly to move stably in the cockpit. The mouse agrees to move in the direction I assign it but it immediately returns to the initial view (forward). For example, it is impossible to focus on the overhead panel to launch a start (cold and in the dark) of the A320. It is also impossible to look to the side during a basic step…
The same phenomenon occurs when the simulator is launched with the only peripherals connected: the keyboard and mouse (Corsair keyboard and Logitech G502 mouse)
The last test was carried out with the “community” directory emptied.
My question: is it possible to prevent the view from systematically returning to the front or is it due to a new philosophy of the 2024 simulator???

Had the same problem but for me there was an axis mapped to pan in cockpit that was giving faulty data so un mapped it and it worked again. You can also increase deadzone to fix it tho.

Thanks XperiaPlay29
Could you explain more what “an axis mapped to pan in cockpit” means and how and where in the settings (mouse/camera I guess) I can fix this. Many thanks for your interest

Solved!!!
It is in the “general/camera/cockpit/free view” setting that you must select “switch”.
Everything is OK

can you explain more or maybe a screenshot? I think a lot of people are having similar problems (like me). Was this something under mouse settings?

I am experiencing pretty much same problem Mouse does not work in the cockpit at all. Seems to work fine in external mode. I don’t have any add ons. Saitek multi panel and switch panel plugged in but dont work Other than that just logitech mouse and thrustmaster throttle, joystick and ruddewr pedals

Main bug report: Mouse freelook axis crosstalk - overly sensitive
