[MSFS2024] Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet

On the PFD as I described. Turning the thumb wheel moves the highlight up and down. Pressing the thumb wheel checks the item.

This is why we clearly stated which version multiples times. If anyone is still confused on which version I don’t know what to say.

Also it appears that the checklist DOES work on the xbox, just not on the PC for the Microsoft version (not the FFX version)

Well, that’s
 not encouraging.

Yeah, in the hands of Asobo and MS to fix anything. This kind of deal runs the risk of tarnishing FlightFX’s reputation because no matter how often it’s stated, people will associate them with the 2024 version.

Sorry, I missed that in my hasty reading. Bizarre how Xbox is fine but PC not. Gives me hope that for this, at least, it’s an easy fix.

I’m hoping that, as part of the contract between MS and FlightFX, the services of the latter would be retained to maintain the aircraft’s code, with MS as its one and only customer. In that way, MS field all of the bug reports on the forum/by email and decide which ones, preferably all, they want FlightFX to fix.

IMHO, it would have been a massive mistake for MS to take on responsibility for the maintenance of the code that they hadn’t produced.

Thank you so much (it took me a while to respond, sorry!)

Been traveling for the holidays, have the landing lights been fixed on this one yet?

I didn’t know it was broken, but yes, it’s still broken. Doesn’t cast any light on the ground

Anyone know how to adjust the screen brightness? Sometimes when I’m on a night flight the screen is the brightest possible setting and then sometimes it automatically adjusts itself.

I tried googling around and it sounds like it was possible in MSFS202 but not 2024?

Why can’t I buy it in career, I get to chairs style and no further, is there a bug in the system Damit fix it. thanks.

I haven’t found a way and don’t think it’s modelled in the Asobo version. In the 2020 version there were more utilities and other options and I think it was possible then (I haven’t reinstalled it in 2024).

The issue of screen brightness and bloom plagues any other aircraft right now.

so, if what i’m reading in this thread is correct (that once the third party contractors have delivered the aircraft their job is complete and all further modifications/fixes/bug squishing are the sole responsibility of Microsoft/Asobo)
 we’re screwed, right?

that isn’t necessarily correct. We don’t know the exact details of the contract between MS and FlightFX, of course, but another possibility is what I’ve explained in another post above.

To save you reading back, that alternative arrangement being, that MS contracted with FFX, to produce the aircraft code. If FFX had taken on the front-line support for that aircraft, and the massive increase in their direct customer base, they’d probably have struggled. Therefore, MS take on the role of managing bug reports/comments etc and then, acting as the only customer of FFX for this aircraft, send a request(s) to FFX for them to fix/improve whatever MS decides is the most important features. That way, FFX only have to worry about one customer and are still responsible for maintaining their own code.

Alongside that arrangement, FFX retain the responsibility for all aspects of their own, payware, version of this aircraft.

Oh, and the fact that FlightFX are accredited as being a partner, rather than just being a sub-contractor, would tend to indicate an ongoing relationship of some sort.

Yeah you need a mouse to select it

Non-career mode free flight weight and balance question - does the aircraft respond to the passengers/baggage weights from the EFB or the Initialization page of the Garmin?

Do I need to use the EFB to actually get those people/baggage into the aircraft or is the input into the Garmin just for the flight computer calculations?

When we built our version of the jet (not MS Asobo’s VJ), you could take weights from either the weight and balance page, the toolbar or the Garmin. In fact, the easier approach was just take the totalizer value (i.e., two pilots plus cargo = 486 lbs) and dump that into the Init Payload screen. Sync FOB and away you go. And for a touch of realism, each empty full size adult seat other than PIC/COP had to manually be allocated for 33lbs each. Add that to the totalizer.

Right now it appears that the EFB is driving all of that, but that’s really a Working Title question since they customized the G3000 to be get closer to Perspectives+ and they also built the Flight Planner logic.

I really miss the Check List of this jet. Would make life a bit easier, and the before mentioned working Weights & Balances in career.

What does entering the W&B even do besides showing you the graph/verifying tolerances? I mean does it affect the systems in some way?

It’s used to calculate estimated takeoff and landing distances.
