MSFS2024 November 19th, 2024

Nope, I believe they will be two completely different products. Look at the EFB in the trailer. It is the ini Tablet, the same one in the A300, A320Neo etc

I work from home, beside the sim lol.

I don’t need to take time off, but it won’t be a productive day…

Nice to know the release date, now still two things I would like to know: MSFS2024 editions (with specific contents) and specification requirements.

So the PC-12NGX shown in this trailer was just CONFIRMED by SWS in their Discord that it is NOT theirs…Interesting!! I wonder who’s doing the APEX avionics then…

I have a feeling that the PC-12 is from Carenado, the font of the registration looks like their PC-12

Looks like MFS 2020 Mission pack.

This is what I’m waiting to see. I’m leaning toward the standard version to be honest. I don’t really want to drop $140. But there’s an aircraft or two I absolutely have to have…

Why didn’t I see this subforum in the forum overview and ā€œLatest Topicsā€?

Is it set to invisible mode? EDIT: the whole subforum was muted for me for some reason. Back in business.

Good point, it very well may be…as you know Carenado is doing the Agtruck…

Yep, and all the other Carenado planes that they have made for MS/Asobo so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case

Weather is looking good. It feels more alive.

Trailer looks enticing. I’m very interested in how Asobo will handle all the airline/charter ops. Will you be able to make your own company, join an airline, or are these going to be mission packs that draw you in and then you can purchase a broader spectrum if you’d like.

As mentioned on the forums, it seems like they’re embracing what 3rd parties have done for decades and making it their own. I think this is a good step forward, not a misstep. Perhaps 3rd parties will
be able to tweak the missions/career paths after release? I think having it baked into the sim is great so then you don’t have to work around a program like Simconnect and FSUIPC to make it work.

Thus, I’m hoping to hear more in-depth info from FSExpo in a couple weeks, I never expected more than an updated trailer at the Xbox showcase.

I still think all these missions will be in their own area of the sim. Much like the activities/training/bush trips/TopGun/Dune activities we have now. The activities won’t appear in the free flight world, maybe the ships will but I doubt there will be activities you can fly up to to activate.
So as a pilot career you advance through the different mission scenarios gaining a letter grade A-F like our landing challenges. I hope I’m wrong but I feel it may be over simplified.

Hmmm. Like others have said, pretty uneventful as its not much more than what we saw already. But the crop dusting scene, i keep saying to myself, ā€œwhats wrong with that?ā€ I dont know if it was my monitor, the colors, the lighting, it looked off. Maybe i was distracted by the wheat swaying.

Im so tickled they added more life to the scene. As beautiful as it is, i was flying over salmon-challis forest and wondering why it was so ā€œdeadā€ no eagles circling, no fisherman on the lakes, no farmers tilling the ground. I can only hope. Some day.

Thanks, Seedy already pointed me to the solution. The whole MS2024 subforum was set to mute. I don’t remember doing it, but perhaps I did it back in the day when all the discussions about MS2024 were just complaints.
