Where can I find the Canadair CL 415 preorder plane in 2020 ?
It would appear that I might well be desperate enough to submit a support request and have done so thanks.
Hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come.
on this new MSFS 2024 PC System Requirements page…
I think the Storage has been overlooked… 50 GB as the Ideal?
Does that mean no more huge downloads? Really content is processed in the cloud and just the 2D image is streamed (which would be efficient)? I worry about Azure and streaming reliability.
€ 200 ?!
Will have to wait until bonus-time…
They go from one big upfront install to a smaller install and then stream planes and world and whatnot to your pc. So over time it will grow. Unless you fly a single plane in a single location.
Thanks for that, didn’t want to order the Aviator Edition unnecessarily. Premium Deluxe for me then! Looking forward to it.
Which 30 planes from the marketplace are in the Aviator edition?
Im gonna for Aviator’s Edition becouse i love this game, i only hope that some of my airplanes from the ingame store will transfer automatically, especially the PDMG one
Maybe if I hadn’t just clicked on the link from Seedy’s first post I might have somehow stumbled on that page, but it’s safe to say that “no” I didn’t notice that.
I’ll make a note that future such posts relate to US customers and that I’ll need to look for another link to find out how the rest of the world needs to find the right route.
Sorry, but that’s just weird.
Thanks
Hello @JackGreedy,
Yes, all your Marketplace purchases will transfer automatically and be available for download in “My Library” (the new name for Content Manager) in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on launch day.
Developers also have the option to release upgraded versions of their products using the new 2024 SDK. Developers can choose to release these enhanced versions of their products either for free to existing customers or they can charge an upgrade fee.
Please see this section from our FAQ for more information:
Owned MSFS 2020 Content
- For any content you purchased outside of the simulator, the Community Folder will continue to work as it did in MSFS 2020. Any content in your MSFS 2020 Community Folder can simply be copied over to the new MSFS 2024 Community Folder, and the vast majority of that content should work in MSFS 2024.
- For any content you purchased in the Marketplace in MSFS 2020, that content will show up as owned in the Content Manager (in MSFS 2024 called “My Library”) at launch for you to use in MSFS 2024, and the vast majority of that content should work in MSFS 2024. This availability does not require developers to sign off on their content.
Owned MSFS 2020 Content that has been Upgraded for MSFS 2024
- For content you already purchased in MSFS 2020, upgrades to Microsoft-produced content (e.g. Reno Air Races, Local Legends, Famous Flyers, Expert Series) will be free to you.
- For content you already purchased in MSFS 2020, upgrades to all other (non-Microsoft) developers’ content will have two potential options based on each developer’s discretion:
- The developer can make the upgrade free.
- The developer can choose to charge a fee for the upgrade.
Non-owned Content: Availability in the MSFS 2024 Marketplace
- For any content, including existing MSFS 2020 content, developers must sign off that the content is functional for it to appear for sale in the Marketplace.
Upgraded = built with the MSFS 2024 SDK, Not Upgraded = built with the MSFS 2020 SDK
Thanks,
MSFS Team
…and it gets better.
That link takes you to the Aerosoft online store and to the page for a rather expensive limited edition. The standard, deluxe and premium deluxe versions do not yet appear to be available.
However, it would be quite easy to erroneously follow a link to those versions of FS2020, which I’m sure wasn’t deliberate.
I really would have thought that for such a major launch, MS and partners could have made a better job.
Could someone help me out what the 30 payware aircraft in the aviator edition are?
Local Legends, Famous Flyer and the sole aircraft in Expert Series
I have premium deluxe version of 2020. If I purchase the standard 2024 edition, I will have the 787 for example?
I just grabbed the Premium Deluxe version! This will be looooong two months.
YouTube is awash in preview videos by content creators already!
I think you will if you bought the Deluxe/Premium edition of 2020. From how it reads, any 2020 airplane you own will carry over to 2024. So if you had the Premium Deluxe 2020 but only the Standard 2024, your Premium Deluxe 2020 planes (I.e. 787) will carry over. However any new Premium Deluxe planes specific to 2024 you will not have access.
I hope you are correct on that one.
I have the 787 that was included with my 2020 Premium Deluxe and it is about the only aircraft in the 2024 Premium Deluxe that I would really like.
I can’t see myself paying £60 more just for the one aircraft. The only other thing to persuade me would be if there are a significant amount of airports that I want as well. As yet we don’t seem to have any information on airports (not that I can find) I’ll hold off until I know more or even until after release.
I agree. I will certainly hold off until the early adopters are satisfied with the quality.
