[MSFS2024] Pilatus PC-12 NGX

The missing Pressure Cabin makes it unflyable for me. :frowning:

The only medium plane that is fully working in Career mode, at least now, after they fixed the issue with batteries. Pretty much every other medium plane has number of issues…

my lower MFD and standby gyro screens keep dying halfway through the flight. is it just me?

The 208 works fine. I wouldn’t call this “fully working” without pressurization, even if you ignore all the little foibles and annoyances (like bad AT, broken lights, hard to read avionics, avionics bugs, heat blur that distorts the whole cockpit, VR issues, etc).

Arguably even the CJ4 is more fully working than this, though it is only useable for charter missions, so doesn’t have the flexibility this has.

Enable external power.

Don’t use autothrottle below 10-11000 ft during climb. Instead, take off with 70% throttle, it will keep the ITT below the red line. Engage autopilot with the usual functions but not the AT. Engage that only above the altitude mentioned, it will be fine at those flight levels.

Enable external power half way through the flight? That’s a neat trick. Must be a very long cord.

Maintenance, your alternator probably died and is not charging the batteries.

LOL, I know, but it helps in my case, or they just ninja fixed it.

Now I’m dying to know how you enabled external power while in the air.

Heard of wireless charging? :stuck_out_tongue:

I find it a shame that the selected MFD>Page>PFD>avionics values (Hpa, wind direction, etc.) are not kept.
I have the same remark for EFB each time you have to set Kg, Celsius temperature, etc.

NB : maybe I don’t know how to do it

Thanks Mate, wouldn’t have figured that out

I tried the PC 12 for the first time today. I have many CTDs in MSFS 2024 in general, but those usually occur after exiting a mission or free flight. But in the PC 12, I had three CTD out of four anttempts upon entering a flight, and one CTD in the middle of the flight. Was today as an unlucky day for me, or is the PC 12 more susceptible to CTDs? I am a VR user by the way.

I can not speak for VR but on my Xbox i never have trouble or a CTD with the PC-12. i think this is not a PC-12 problem, isnt it?

no, it’s not your fault. the EFB hasn’t saved settings properly since patch 2. v annoying.

the Garmin avionics DO remember your settings, but unfortunately the Honeywell (used by Pilatus planes) does not, even though both the Garmins and the Honeywell were coded by Working Title.

I also fly in VR, I have about a dozen flights with the PC-12, I died of asphyxia on my first two flights, but I haven’t experienced any CTDs in this plane. No idea what causes frequent CTDs on your system, ofc the PC-12 could trigger that underlying cause more reliably than other planes – but from my point of view, it doesn’t seem likely that the plane itself is the culprit.

Based solely on the fact that our experiences are so different, I can only speculate that your issues are in some form hardware-related… if this would happen to me, I would start hunting for outdated or buggy drivers (including BIOS, chipset drivers, and especially audio drivers). But, you know, remote diagnosis is always a crapshoot.

when Auto-Throttle is activated, the throttle lever constantly goes up and down again in, but does not really catch the spot to hold the assigned speed. somethings wrong with the control loop of it.

I turn off the auto-throttle around 10,000 feet because it goes absolute wild - as you described. My settings generally are NG% 93 for 230, 10 miles out NG% 83 to slow for G1, F15, then 4 mile final NG% 72 for final config.

Did a checkup before flight. Engines Status is NEW - all other maintopics are good or new and all subtopics of the status good maintopics are green (yes scroled down when needed) are also green.
Started Mission and after starting the engine got “Engine NP” warning. Got “No Take OFF” warning and one of the two Master Errors was lit. No Power indeed and was not able to come to power. Aborted Mission - which leads to the Mission Vanishing - checked up again and everything was green and the engine was new. Repaired Common or General (don´t know the exakt english name because I play with a german client) Topic which was also green. Started another mission again no power.
Ok - what should I do now - buy a new plane or what?
