did you tried -FastLaunch start-parameter already ?
PS: some times also removal of rolling.cache will helps, in special if you setup a huge one.

Canāt change rolling cache, because CTD happens in FS splash screen, before it brings up FS proper
Sorry, found how to do -FastLaunch, didnāt make any difference, CTD still in MSFS splash screen.
You can just delete the rolling cache file in Windows Explorer. MSFS will open a new, blank one of default size, in my case 8gb.
It has a file suffix of .ccc and is in the simās āpackagesā folder under ālocal cacheā I think.
Then retart once again, and cross fingers. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for the tip how to delete rolling cache. Renamed it, restarted FS, as you predicted FS recreated it, it seemed to take longer until it CTD (probably because of creating rolling cache). If this is useful to anybody the crash happens after checking rolling cache but before being able to go to world map.
While reading through the forum page I got the impression this page is dedicated to beta testing of version 1.30.12. I have v 1.30.12, but I never agreed to beta testing(donāt think Iām qualified for that), but why do I have then version 1.30.12?
we all have now the 1.30.12..
If rolling.cache removal also not helps and crash on world.map happens, then often a map-replacement tool ( google-map-replacement ) caused that. In case you had it ever installed, cleanup your windows hosts file ( e.g. see ). Otherwise might worth that you post the error message you can find within the windows event viewer.
Of course disable other mods from community folder, is test-scenerio number one

I probably expressed myself not very well, when I said splash screen, I meant the screen you also see on top of this forum page (the one with the giraffes etc.). Windows 10 22H2 was re-installed from scratch on 11.2.23, so was FS, community folder is empty, ChDsk result was negative.

same problem for me. It has been a week since it started crashing from that screen. I have same windows ver. nothing in Community, did what they say to do to go back to vanilla install. No Joy.

Yes, but mine only crashes when itās on the loading screen

At the moment of starting the simulator, everything is normal, but when it loads on the home screen it crashes and from there the game completely closes, and I have not been able to play since February 23 since 5 PM.
Before the update the game ran great for me.

And thats why I am getting tired of alll the updates. Can I get at least a two month NO UPDATES of ANY KIND and enjoy the sim a minute PLEASE. Sorry santiagofsx getting tired of three years the same problem. Sim works fine but lets break it with an update!!!

Iām also tired of the same thing, and worst of all, they make us a mandatory update to be able to play, they couldnāt let us choose whether to install the update later, or now, it would be so difficult for them to put that in the update menu Until they fix the problem? That same day on the 23rd I bought the GSX pro, and I thought it was a problem with it, until I uninstalled it and it wasnāt that, I was happy to try it until the horrible update arrived

If windows sets restore points for any updates to be able to rollback a dodgy update or driver, why is this facility not used for MSFS.

yes, I assumed topic is the splash screen while startup the game, not while start a flight. So, you also not come into the game menu. In former post you mentioned, that removal of rolling.cache was helpfull and you come into the game and it ctd on world map then.
Related to windows reinstall.. did you executed a in-place reinstall (repair) or really a full re-install. In some cases the app-data files are not removed and possible invalid files still exist.
( and note: also other files than rollling.cache can be cleaned from the appdata folder manually , added a link bottom )
The error code 0x80000003 is often system related ( pagefile, anti.virus tool, low free disc space, etc. ). Often there was a combination, in special for users with 16gb RAM with low free disc space so that windows then can not increase the pagefile. But we had also cases where a setting becomes invalid ( stored in cloud ). But if you assume there is a relation to rolling.cache creation I would try to disable anti-virus for test-case, check pagefile and free disc space. May be try to set a manuall value for pagefile size : minimum 16GB , Max 32GB.
If its cloud-save related, we have some topics which describe how to cleanup that ( whats to do depends on ms-store vs steam , in some cases it possible to go offline and try removal only local ).
@santiagofsx it is a multiplayer game and so allways all updates are mandatory. Please check that really all files after uninstalling gsx pro are gone, we had many cases for mods where that was not the case and caused exactly such kind of issues.
I also remember lots other topics about the blue bar is hangs on 50% ( also e.g. the already mentioned google-maps-replacement mod ).

I got a lot CTD in the last few days, most on loading a flight. After long invastigation i have found on my side the problem. AI Enhancement by Vessels. Needs to be updated.

My history with FS2020:
Around Sep/Aug 2022 I installed the DVD version of FS2020 bought from a MS store for the very first time, but there were sporadic problems with CTDs which were traced back to a faulty SSD on which FS was installed.
In Dec. 2022 the disk was replaced, Windows reinstalled(from scratch) as well as FS2020 and I could use FS again.
In Jan. 2023 the next problem happened as FS ādisappearedā(no start icon) from the PC, Xbox still recognized that I owned it, but MS store didnāt know about it, which made a re-install impossible.
I lodged a report with one of the forums, but considered this to be a Microsoft problem.
I had very good support from the MS helpdesk, but no success, until we decided to wipe the C-Drive and do a clean install of Windows 10, and only then was I able to install FS 2020(DVDs and download)
By Feb 4, 2023 I had FS2020 back working and continued flying.
Coming back to the current problem, On Feb 21, 2023 FS CTDed with error code 0x80000003 (see post above) and continues to do so, it was working on Feb 20 and there was no change(driver or otherwise) to the software or hardware.
I usually monitor CPU and memory usage, but never saw any values of concern (I toned down a lot of settings), CPU averages 40% and memory similar, c_drive is 60% used, drivers are up to date, and so is MS Store.
Anyway, I followed your suggestion and set the pagefile to 16GB and 32GB Max, sorry but, CTD persists.
i havent played fs2020 in a while but it did work perfectly fine before i did play it like over a month ago. it updated then as soon as i try clicking on world map or something it crashes to desktop right away. 99% it does this always as soon as you try to go flying. no game error msg pops up just crash to desktop. all other programs run fine. i thought the updating borked itself so i deleted everything flight sim and reinstalled itā¦ took forever. but it does the same thing. i thought it had to do with rolling cache i tried deleting it then restarting then enabling it then it worked that one time but after restarting game it does same thing. newest nvidiia drivers. i say something broke in game.

Did anybody try a āRepairā of the App?
I usually do that and also clean the files in the Nvidia DXCache folder.
I use Nvidia Studio and DX12 and it didnāt cause me this problem but with the new update the CTD due to graphics error has been more constant.

The quickest way to get rid of ctds is as follows:
-remove all oc (gpu+cpu)
-reinstall os+ msfs
-reinstall gpu driver
- check no more ctd
-only then reinstall 3rd party programm in the order of c++ librairies (first 2010, then 2013, then 2022)
This last point cost me countless hours of debugging. The order in which I installed the 3rd party program caused ctd. Very hard to spot this issue. Now itās running flawless
