The value of a plane is not measured in $ / knot TAS.
The naturally aspirated Arrow is more vintage and very pleasing to look at and there is no reason to look down on it because it is slower.
On the other hand the Turbo is almost inevitable if you want to fly in the mountains. I recommend tio buy them both and consider them as a bundle that reflects 20 years of development.
Not looking down on anything, as I said it depends on where you’re flying the differences down low are so slight it’s not worth buying one version over the other. For the additional money you can get/put towards another model. Anyway, each to their own.
Sorry for the stupid question but how do I turn off the flashing light bellow the landing gear lever? Is this plane equiped with automatic landing gear deployment?
If your paying full price for both, I would definitely get the new JF PA28-161 Warrior II and the Turbo Arrow III/IV instead.
That said the Arrow III/Turbo Arrow II/IV package for three slightly different aircraft works out pretty good pricewise, especially if you also get a discount from owning the P3D versions.
I’m occasionally experiencing very low fuel flow followed by a gradual loss of power. The revs then slowly drop off and the plane slows down until I have to make an emergency landing. After shutting down and restarting the plane (without leaving the sim) everything is fine again and I can continue flying. I’ve yet to figure out why it does this. I can have the fuel pump on and full mixture but it makes no difference, the flow is extremely low. Is it a bug or am I flying it wrong somehow?
Conflict between the coded engine failure system and the core sim’s detonation onset. Fixed for the next update, meanwhile if you are comfortable editing the files yourself go into the engines.cfg, find the line “detonation_onset=41” and change it to the same as the max manifold pressure.
Hello,
Sorry if the question has already been asked (didn’t found it). Or if it’s not the good place.
I have overboosted my PA28R TURBO and I’m looking for how to repair it.
I have already tried maintenance on the panel…
Thx you for help
There’s another window behind the EFB Maintenance panel that includes an engine repair button (Click on the small arrow in the top right corner of the maintenance panel.) I believe you have to be on the ground with engines off for it to work, though. I think.
Question (maybe not a very smart one…): it seems the plane has a tendency to roll to the left in cruise. Is that something wrong on my end? My joystick inputs seems to be zero…
Propellor Planes will tend to roll to one side unless they have multiple engines rotating in opposite directions due to Torque and other effects.
However this can also be magified if the aircraft weight isn’t balanced so if you haven’t already I’d suggest trying adding co-pilot weight equal to the pilot weight in the weight and balance screen and see how that effects things
Easiest way is to go to the forums.
There are changelogs for the released versions and if one is “pending” then it has not been released yet:
Arrow III:
Turbo Arrow III/IV:
But in any case, such questions should go to their support so that they recognize that customers have no clear location to look for these.
I’d even be happy to see the version number aside of the download link in my Account. When starting the download you can see the version in the filename as well.
