For anyone not on Discord, yesterday RedWing said “testing 1.9 for a quick release” so hopefully we’ll see the update in the next couple of days.
Yeah a beta build was released by error that has a few bugs. We received a new build yesterday. So, we just need to run it through its paces before you guys get to have it
So far the easiest way I’ve found to get your downloads from the simmarket app is to initiate the install, watch your downloads folder that you specified in the app, and when the app completes the download phase, go copy the zip file off to another folder. It’s not great but it works.
The scary thing is that the app is MUCH better now than it used to be. When they first released it, I gave it one try and ran screaming for the door… Now I use it – grudgingly, yes, but I do use it. Because, of course, I have to for some installs…
It’s good to know it has improved. Being the only option for this aircraft, I was very hesitant about it!
Latest discord message says should be a week or so
The “Aircraft.Ui_manufacture” problem is still a thing with the 1.9 release.
1.9 is missing the Breitling???
was my favorite
also some repaints do not load,D-ALUP does not load, also a favorite.
why remove the Breitling,it was the one wat make me deside to buy this Plane?
this App from Simmarket makes also trouble to install,
the Plane does not take of,nothing work…start on runway, ready fot take of,plane turn only right.also i can not hear the Crew Voices ?
i can´t get discort work,so were can i get support?
were can i get the version before 1.8,that work better?
very disapointed
Sorry to hear of your troubles. The support is pretty responsive on their Discord channel, so that’s really where you need to go. When you get the hang of it, it’s just like a forum message board.
Try to take a look at this introduction to Discord:
get Discord work…
Ok,
thank´s for support,Plane work now
i wait for a working update inkl. Breitling !!!
so in collaboration with Redwing team, The KLM Super Constellation The Flying Dutchman
Have Fun,
Cheers Ralf
and this my first one for this Plane
I’m stumped… anyone know why I can’t seem to get the engines to spin faster than 1250 RPM or so in 1.9?
have the same,i use enginer now for this…
I think I figured out my RPM problem. I think the external gauges are bugged and reading very low.
The internal RPM and manifold gauges read normally, and the plane appears to fly normally. I hadn’t noticed because I was just starting up the engines, and that’s all the time I had. I didn’t have time to actually fly it.
How do you like the plane so far? I am curious about this one but there isn’t much talk about it yet.
online in 2h,orig. Paint is by Redwing, and i only change to make it work at new Model.
It’s in much better shape now than it was when I bought it in January.
The flight model needs work. Engine behavior needs work (the superchargers don’t seem to function at the moment, for example). But it’s getting better and better, and each patch is a pretty significant step forward. It’s still pretty pricey though, so I’ll say this. If you like old planes and/or loud rumbling radials, buy it now before it gets even more expensive.
If you’re not into old planes so much but you want something vintage in your hangar, get the DC-6 instead.
The “Connie” has - by far - the most complex and complicated AI system of any available model in MSFS. In fact, it is entirely possible to have entire phases of flight handled for you. However, I find the model lacks pretty much everything else you need to really enjoy it. (Just my opinion of course.)
I have tried it in both flat panel and in VR. While VR makes the experience much better it still lacks the polish and refinement of PMDG’s DC-6. I really don’t like flying the “Connie” even though I really want to like it: it is simply too finicky in almost every respect.
The DC-6 is far and away the better four-engine radial aircraft at the moment. The “Six” is an aircraft I look forward to flying, and feel comfortable with. The same cannot be said about “Connie” at this point in time.
Thank you very much for the feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out!
