That’s very strange, enable developer mode, open the console and see if you can catch the error it throws right before the CTD.
Same problem here with the bumpy wheels.
So I did some tweaks on the wheels compression/damping (in the flight_model.cfg)
Also submitted these to the developer for review.
Replace the lines point.0 ,point.1 and point.2 under the [CONTACT_POINTS] section with:

If there are any problems with this mod let me know.
(the first 3 lines are the original lines of code. If you don’t like the mod remove the last 3 lines and remove the ; at the front of the first 3 lines of code.)
This mod is now implemented in the latest update V1.1 ![]()
This worked! Thank you.
I too experience the issue with the contact points. Definitely not good bouncing like that right out of the box. Gonna apply MikeFear’s fix though. Also, I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but on the “steam gauges” version of the glass display, the artificial horizon actually turns the wrong direction. Hoping this gets semi-regular updates, because while it’s fun overall, it does feel a bit unpolished.
UPDATE: Mike’s contact points fix worked well.
I finally got around to doing as you asked. It didn’t throw a code in the console, and instead of a CTD this time, it gave me a BSOD.
I don’t know what’s going on. I did 10 hours of flying in multiple aircraft last night with zero problems..but if I load this aircraft and flip on the avionics, everything goes berserk. (I can fly it as long as I never try to turn on the avionics)
When I make this change the throttle doesn’t work ![]()
He’s really going to want to slow down as much as he can before landing.
Now that’s officially THE most powerful powered paraglider ![]()

Those are just speedbrakes. Don’t deploy them over 100 knots and problem solved.
That’s the Fred Flintstone landing gear.
Just fly her right down on the deck and grind those legs off…
Somehow, SU5 fixed my problems with getting a CTD when turning on the avionics. Everything magically works fine now
Good to hear. Are your legs and arms sticking out in the SubSonex?
There is now an update for it.
Since the latest update there is a Garmin instead of the old avionics.
Supposedly you can switch between both versions, but there´s no documentation.
Does anyone know how to do that ?
There’s a switch to the left of your seat.
Aaaaahhhhhh…
I never got the idea.
Thanxalot
Glad to see the pilot model has been fixed, smoke effect doesn’t seem to be working yet.
I cant turn the knobs on the Garmin. Not sure if it is an issue from SU5 or just its like that.
