I’ve pondered that for a long time, my slightly older pc only had 500gb, so I kept world updates off unless I was flying in that area, and didn’t put planes in the community folder unless I was going to fly them.
Upgraded to 2gb now so problem receded a little.

Hi all, you can call me Loopy from SW Florida. I have only been on MSFS for a couple of months but have learned a lot by reading posts here. I am on a PC and a race sim rig modified to accommodate triple 32" curved monitors and both my racing gear and flight gear. I am enjoying the level of realism of MSFS and am working toward weaning myself off of all assists somewhere down the road.
And I am going to go ahead and thank you guys for the help in advance that I know I will need.

Hi @Loopydrummer, welcome from a SE Florida simmer.
I fly out of KLNA Lantana in a LongEZ (flies well with C172 and similar), or Cabri G2, or ICON A5 most mornings around 9AM 1300z and other times as well. If you would like to do some flying together either DM me here or Discord LongEzDreamer#6022.

Hi, you can call me Seraphim and my virutal cockpit is situated in Sweden. I am completely new to flight sims, but when I saw the release of MSFS a couple of years ago I knew I would eventually get it as soon as I had a PC to match the specs. To be honest I have never really been that interested in flying a plane, but I just love being on a plane. I find the change of perspective of seeing the world from above very calming and meditative. I’m sure that I will get into the more advanced sim aspects over time, but from now on I’m content with a lot of assistance and just play with a controller in the external camera mode. What a great way to explore the world. Most of all I look forward to flying fighter jets as it has been a life long dream be taken on a ride in one, but this sim will do just fin as well. First plane I bought was the JAS 39 Gripen/Griffin and love it already.

Cool. I am working during the day so I won’t be able to do mornings until the weekends. I’m not on Discord often, but I’m Loopydrummer#2858. I will give you a shout when I am flying again. I’m going to kick the tires on the LongEZ and see how I like it.

Years ago was a member of the Freebirds, a virtual combat squadron using the F-16 Falcon.
