I think that’s how it is in the real life. And if you mean the VDGS display then you need a GSX profile for that. It’s available on flightsim.to. And also, if you use GSX then try the follow me car or the excellent progressive taxi feature if you’re struggling to navigate throughout the airport.
Where did you find the GSX profile? I could only find one for the Imaginesim KATL (unless that one works with the Orbx product?). Asking AI, it tells me that the Orbx product comes with a GSX profile.
Here you go, looks like the creator is well-committed so hopefully it will be updated constantly as GSX adds new functionalities: GSX Profile for Orbx KATL - Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport - MSFS Add-on - Flightsim.to
Why did you ask AI? Just look in the scenery files. ![]()
I did, the only one it kicked up was for Imaginesim’s ATL. All is well, I’ve got the correct one installed.
There is one that comes with the scenery that uses the Nool VDGS. The one on Flightsim.to works with GSX VDGS.
I was referring to the scenery files for ORBX ATL itself. There’s a GSX profile included, though as @mjchernis points out, it uses Nool VDGS.
I actually use the Nool VDGS remover and a GSX profile. Both available at flightsim.to website.
Version 1.0.4 of KATL is available this afternoon. I haven’t found the changelog yet.
Orbx updates KATL Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to v1.0.4 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024!

So what’s the verdict? Has this scenery been updated for good performance. Basically asking if I should wait?
I’m personally sticking with Ini Builds
You mean imaginesim? Inibuilds doesn’t have a KATL
If inibuilds were to do KATL I’m sure they’d knock that one out of the park!!
Oh yes, my bad.
It’s working well for me, aside from in combination with the iFly Max, where I find the combined load too much for my liking. That said, I have not made a real flight in the sim in a few days, just some load/stutter tests. So perhaps the scenery updates and/or the most recent SU 5.1 Beta builds have improved things. I have not had issues with other aircraft.
After a short test, performance with version 1.04 has improved even further for me. I’m now very happy with how the airport runs on my system. And, incidentally, I prefer the look of this airport to KDFW, for example. I wouldn’t want to swap the Orbx version for one from Inibuilds, although I generally like Inibuilds’ airports too. But you can really see the three years of work Matteo has put into this scenery.
I take this as still too heavy. I fly the 738 too much for low fps, and high latency. I can wait.
