NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 576.02 Discussion

Thanks. I wondered why the GPU temp in Windows Task Manager seemed to be stuck at 30C even when I was hammering the graphics. I have reverted back to 572.83 for the moment because of that and some performance issues (3080Ti).

Anyone tried using the ansel filters with the 576.15 hotfix & MSFS 2024.?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, they stopped working with 576.02.

576.02 is stuttering for me (MSFS 2020 and RTX 4070 Ti) especially on the ground or near the ground. Rolled back to 572.83 and everything is back to butter smooth. Didn’t try the hotfix 576.15 - anyone already has?

There’s an app thread for that, you may wish to check out.

I installed the hotfix, but have yet do a full flight. I may post some feedback, if I notice anything but have not noticed any difference to 576.02 yet.

576.02 stuttered horribly. Tried 576.15 and it was no better. Rolled back 572.83 and not a single stutter on two hour flight. RTX 4070 Ti Super.

Regarding the stuttering, are you on the SU2 beta?
See Horrible stuttering, FPS drops at airports, during landing, / BETA 2 (1.4.14.0) - #36 by SmotheryVase665 - it’s been bug-logged, maybe not necessarily due to the Nvidia driver?

I’m also on MSFS 2024 1.4.14.0 (SU2 Beta) but haven’t observed such stutters with 576.02 as with MSFS 2020. MSFS 2024 is pretty smooth for me (maybe because DX12?), but seems that for some people here also MSFS 2024 1.4.14.0 is laggy with the latest nvidia whql driver (especially on RTX 40 and 30 cards).

I installed hotfix 576.15 and the Nvidia app filters are still not working. Roll back to 572.83.

Thanks for info. I was going to try it myself when I had time. You’ve saved me the effort.

Friendly reminder: There’s a discussion thread about the NVIDIA 566.15 hotfix driver https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/nvidia-geforce-hotfix-display-driver-576-15-discussion-thread/717866

I can’t make a single flight in MSFS 2024 without the sim randomly freezing with only the sound remaining.
I also encountered those weird stutters some are reporting here.
I didn’t run out of VRAM or RAM, there was still plenty of space available.
Unfortunately this is the first driver for the 5060ti, so i can’t roll back.

Get the driver hotfix, it may solve your problem.

I have the same issue on my 5080 with the latest fix. I ended up going back to 572.83 with no issues there. Not sure what to do now but I’ll stay on that version until something else is done.

As the Nvidia filters are still not working in the current and hotfix drivers I’ve had another go at using reshade.
A bit tricky and confusing to setup and had a real struggle getting permissions for the .exe file to work (I still have to reset permissions before I start the sim and then reboot PC as they seem to revert back to default) .

Can’t say I’m really that impressed with it so far, there seem to be hundreds of filters, most of them fairly useless for MSFS .

In the nvidia ansel filters I used to use the Colour, Brightness/Contrast and the details filters.
I can’t seem to find the equivalent options in reshade.

Theres a lightroom one which enables me to get the outside view looking OK but then I can’t see any of the plane interior and controls (it’s just too dark).

Maybe it’s just a matter of finding the right shaders but I don’t know what they are?

And just like that, back to 566.32. Game suddenly started CTD without reason. I though it was because I changed the RAM from 32 to 64GB, then the last CTD warned me about Driver issue, or overclocking GPU. I removed the OC, tried again and midflight, again, same isssue.. So back to 566.32, so far so good… again.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am planning to upgrade my 3070ti to the 5080 as a birthday present… in June maybe if the price comes down. Has the card been OK or are you having other problems than the drivers or card? Also considering the 5070ti.

I upgraded from a 3080 to a 5080 a few months back, and it transformed how 2024 performs for me. Coupled with Sim Update 2 I’m getting a great experience in 4K, mostly Ultra. Key advice I would offer is to experiment heavily with graphics setting tuning when you get the new card to make sure you are getting the best out of it.

Loving mine, a real bargain given what one has to pony up for a 5080. Same 16GB, just a few less of the other stuff that probably benefits AI operations more than flight simming?

Okay, new driver new problem

Hotfix 576.26 out.
