How do you get it to go Mach 10? I cannot get it above Mach 3.77, but easily hit the 275,000 ft ceiling. Am I supposed to toggle some setting?
How do you get it that fast? I can only get it to Mach 3.77. Is there some setting I’m missing that I need to toggle? No instructions. I can get it very high though, just not super fast.
Play the Maverick mission. All the instructions are there
You have to activate the fuel cells once you hit mach 3, then activate Scramjets… And scram into space😅

Those engines are scram jets. They only start working at a set speed and altitude. Fly full afterburners at around fl20 and stay flat. As the speed gets to Mach 2 start bringing the nose up. Make sure the scramjet switch in the cockpit was on and that your throttle is at 100% not 80%. Wait till Mach 3 and boom….. should engage as you pull through fl40..
I see scramjet, but how do you activate the fuel cells? I’m in the middle of a “long-haul” flight and would like to attempt this now vs. exiting out to the mission.
Hmm anyone else not able to choose Maverick as a pilot option when using the native Top Gun skin outside of the Top Gun activities?

Well it took me an hour for my long-haul at Mach 3.77 vs. 30 min hypersonic. Upon exiting I looked at the Maverick activity. It looks like you have to fly the plane a specific way. As long as they “teach it” in the activity, that could be fun. Will try that tomorrow.
Climb to altitude, pitch into position, enable fuel cells, engage scrams, increase throttle. You’ll know when you get it. Took me a while to figure out.

Hi, I have a problem with the fps in the Low-Altitude challenge mode. First run is fine, but if I click on restart it is stuttering very much and not fun. Are there any tweaks I can apply? I have RTX 3070 and I7 10700KF + 32 GB RAM

Bitte den Flugzeugträger in der World Map verfügbar machen. Das wäre super wenn man den Träger voll nutzen könnte. Katapultstart und Landungen bei jedem Wetter und Tageszeiten. . .

I just had a fascinating experience in the Top Gun DLC. Did the Darkstar challenge, and the graphics were razor sharp, with excellent antialiasing, zero pop-in, long draw distances, and not even a hint of low frame rate, stutter, freezing, etc. It was the stellar Flight Sim experience that I recall from last fall, but sadly haven’t even come close to experiencing in the main sim since the releases of Sim Updates 8&9.
After that awesome experience, I started a flight in the main sim, fingers crossed that maybe some breakthrough had happened with the Top Gun DLC. Nope…Immediately experienced the worst stumbling, bumbling, stutter and freeze fest that I have yet seen, with the awesome razor sharp visuals of the DLC replaced by the now-standard jaggy aliased mess, with no antialiasing at all and very short draw distance with horrendous pop-in.
What on Earth is going on with this thing?! The DLC and the main sim are like two different worlds.
Hit mach 10.03 myself. It certainly won’t melt the guy’s graphic card but maybe the plane … Turns almost bright orange. What an exciting time to be a gamer and an aviation enthusiast.

It’s just to the right of the flight stick. Look for four squares - there’s a switch to turn on the cells.
