Official Discussion: Upcoming Hotfix Announcement

Oops, yes a typo. I’ll edit. It’s amusing to me the parallels here. I’m quite critical of the sim, where its warranted, but try to avoid the hysteria, and hyperbole that often gets generated elsewhere.

“We are grey. We stand between the darkness, and the light”

Trying my best to remain in the centre at all times.

No need

What about those of us that cannot get the sim to install ? I have never had any issues until this update 5 .. I had to reinstall because it keeps stalling on the download of update and now it does the same thing on the reinstall !! I have tried everything and you guys just up and stopped answering my emails .. I sent screenshots of what it’s doing.. downloaded all of the sik yesterday and stalled at 2Gib to go 2!!! I am so frustrated right now !. What about us ! I can’t be the only one! Plz help TIA.

Will the issues regarding AA be fixed as well?

Although presumably you need to do this after subsequent updates?

I’m just another voice chucking this is the hat no doubt.

I REALLY hope that some work will be put into CTD’s as soon as possible as it is the number 1 issue right now. Waiting until WU6 is not acceptable.

I virtually never had CTD’s prior to SU5. Since then the game has become completely unusable and I couldn’t play it for more than about 20 minutes before it crashed. So I thought I’d go for a clean install, which I’ve just done. I was in the process of downloading the World Updates and purchased content from the Marketplace and guess what? Crash to desktop.

I am generally pro-Asobo and think that in general SU5 was good, obvious hiccups aside. However, what was a playable game is now no longer. This needs sorting urgently!

I can’t even get it to reinstall it stalls up on “decompressing” at fifteenth percentages of the download… I am so frustrated.. I let it sit for 24hrs and still is stalled up… MSFS will not answer my emails on zendesk they just up and stopped.

Probably, yes.

Why? Those not already convinced probably wouldn’t believe it anyway.
Besides, today’s announcement was in fact a promise that we will be able to stretch the sim beyond the capabilities of an XBox.

In short, give us the settings that will allow us to find the simulator before the SU5 update.

Stability and less bug too. After the development will resume its normal planing

Let’s be positive.

Have you tried closing down msfs then locate the file its trying to download ( stuck on ) in the packages folder ( delete it ) then restart msfs to see if this resolves the stuck issue??

I signed on to the ORIGINAL Beta…when I bought it. Although I didn’t realize that at the time of purchase. Cheers.

I guess you’ll be crossing your fingers then that the next hotfix doesn’t drag you into the CTDs then?

PS Thanks for the support btw.

I might have a method to possibly fix it. First, what is your internet speed? Doing a forum search it seems that some users were able to solve it by slowing down their internet using a network limiter application. It sounds crazy and is not guaranteed to work, but might be worth a try.

I don’t know how to do that and it gets stalled up on different packages… it’s always “decompressing” and then it will say things like … LAX, big file, tutorials, or others.

ill private mesage you

I’d assume both. There is only one of the fixes that specifically references PC and that’s the LOD Popping and Stutter. The rest all look like bugs and hence I suppose apply to both.

Maybe still unclear (only because I don’t know if xbox has any visual options available or not) are the potential sliders for visual customisation.

But just my supposition - which could be wildly wrong.

I’m not positive… I’m not that good with PC I have MSFS and MSFS alone on this PC that is all and never had any issues.. I always make sure community folder is moved… it just stalls up on different stuff and idl why man..support just left me hanging.

That’s really funny

Wrong, some of these issues didn’t occur during testing!
