[OFFICIAL] Weekly Dev Update Screenshot Challenge: Newbies, Watch This!

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another screenshot challenge! The idea is to collectively explore different parts of the world together - areas that may be very familiar to you or perhaps a new place you have never flown before. Feel free to find others to fly with to capture the challenge, or go solo!

Last week’s winner from Arctic Tundra: @ScenicAtol3300

This Week’s Challenge

Newbies, Watch This! - This Tuesday we will be welcoming new simmers to the Microsoft Flight Simulator community. We all know that the most likely place they will visit first will be their own home - let’s be honest! What what is one place you would HIGHLY recommend they go visit next in the sim? Share a screenshot and location details for the new simmers!

If you have screenshot challenge ideas for the future, please DM me!

  1. Any time of day
  2. Any type of weather
  3. Code of Conduct appropriate liveries
  4. Default aircraft or aircraft from the MSFS Marketplace
  5. Up to 10 entries (screenshots) allowed

The rest is fair game! Use your creativity! We will pick the top 11 shots. 1 will be featured as the main photo of the next dev update and the other 10 will be featured in the community section.

You may also add a watermark or username to your image if you wish.

How To Submit Your Screenshot

Courchevel is by far my favorite and the most underrated place to fly in my opinion.

Try all the other strips in the area too! Huez is another cool one, as is Barages! Notre Dame de la Salette is particularly challenging. French Alps are amazing and as soon as I get there IRL, I’m going for a spin to these very strips! Definitely check out Papua and Papua New Guinea.

Why go somewhere, when you can go anywhere?

Like what most will go to, I wanted to explore New York and the surrounding areas.

Central park was one of those just to experience the size, where it is and the fact it’s in such an urban area.

(This photo is 13.5mb but had to compress it a bit to get in the 4mb limit)

fly from HOPE (CYHE) to Vancouver Intl. (CYVR). Ideal easy visual flight that wont take more than 15-20 minutes. Use Cessna 172 or such like. You will be flying inbetween mountains initially then onto flatlands closer to Vancouver. No need to go above 4000 FT. And the easy part, just follow the river straight ahead. It will lead you to the two vancouver runways.

Laying down a few challenges for those joining us on Xbox :video_game:

Or fly a fighter jet through the Grande Arche in Paris.

Highly recommend flying Geneva to Innsbruck!
