Opening any airport chart in EFB leads to CTD

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When you open a chart for a particular airport from the EFB the game crashes to desktop immediately.
This means you can not read any approach or ground chart of any airport which for me makes the SIM unplayable.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
No.

Yes.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
100%, every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Open EFB, no matter where in the game
  2. Select an airport and click the book icon
  3. On the airport TAB choose any chart → CTD

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?
No.

[PC Only] Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version:
NVIDIA RTX 4090, driver version 576.28

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
7800X3D, 64 GB RAM DDR5 6000, internet connection fiber 600/300

Can confirm I have the same issue on XBOX.

same, reported before but was obviously moved into the 3rd party corner as I first saw these CTD when using the Fenix. but seems to be a common topic

It doesn’t look like a common problem. Because in other way the internet will be full of screams.

Having the same issue. Click any chart. Instant CTD. SU3 fresh install tonight (not updated from SU2).

Same problem.
Free flight overview globe → open EFB → click on chart (tried random charf ot EDDF) → 2 seconds freeze and sim crash to desktop… that’s kinda beta breaking :frowning:

That is great, but how to use EFB now until SU3 arrive? And when it is planned?

that is actually the intention of a beta. it has been identied. reported. and confirmed to be fixed.

I’m not sure I know what you mean. There is no issue with charts on the EFB in SU2.

Meanwhile I use a separate Android tablet to open charts in browser. Actually more convenient even.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load up the Longitude
  2. Enter any rudimentary flight plan with a departure and arrival airport (I did GMFK and LIPZ in this test)
  3. Hit the Charts button on the right side GTC (I didn’t try on the left one)
  4. Try to select anything, and it crashes (it doesn’t crash until you do this). I did not have such problems in SU2.

Same for me. I initially thought the problem was the PMS50 GTN750 but it happens 100% of the time using the default tablet as well

Career mode - on mission - approaching KPHX I clicked in the EFB on the IFR approach for the runway I was assigned (avionics didn’t set from EFB) - immediate CTD.
