PA-28R Arrow III from Just Flight

Many moons ago a couple guys I know did it in an Archer (180hp). It struggled like hell and was pretty much hanging off the prop at 10,000ft with only one person in it.

Remember this isn’t the turbo version, so it’s probably in the right ballpark with 90% fuel.

Well I don’t really want to buy the Carenado one. I mean they make nice looking planes but I’m looking for more immersion with more in depth systems.

I just found out that there actually are performance charts provided with the add-on. So I’ll cross check the performance tomorrow.

But as I said I fly a 180hp non turbo DR400 IRL and with two people and max fuel FL125 is not a giant problem to be honest. I mean if the real Arrow is like that I belobe you I was just wondering.

Each time I add a passenger weight, my fuel goes back to 50%. Every single time. Anyone can confirm that it is a bug? Is there a way to add a passenger weight and keep the saved fuel level?

Just wondering, are you adding the passenger through the EFB or through the top MSFS menu? (I didn’t know you could do it through the EFB, but, I assuming you can? I’ve never seen the bug in the MSFS menu and I add passenger weight all the time.)

I do it through EFB. I will try through the main menu. I believe I tried it and also defaulted my fuel but I will check again to make sure.

I can confirm it works. So strange that it loads passengers from the main menu but fuel from the saved state. Whatever… I am happy it works.

Hi, it seems the Just Fight PA-28 is available on MSFS marketplace… but not for everyone
Is someone knows what is the reason and hen it will be available on marketplace for France ?
Thanks

Anyone hear when the Turbo Arrow III/IV is going to be released? The latest dev update at the Just Flight site is March 3. I thought maybe the Turbo would be released soon after the III version. Thanks!

Development of the turbocharged version took them longer than anticipated and apparently they had a few setbacks along the way. A couple of weeks ago they said that they hoped to release it by the end of april.

Recently a dev posted this on the JF forums: “It’s not made it into the black hole it’s still being developed, taking a little longer than we anticipated though. Thanks for your patience.”

I think release should be sooner than later, though. Maybe another couple of weeks would be my guess.

I asked yesterday to a Just Flight ontact about the non updated dev page since last 3 of march and he said
“The page is live and we’ve not abandoned it. There are associated reasons as to why it’s not been updated since the 3rd March but the development work continues and it’s not too far off completion now. Thanks”

Hope it will be released soon and available on MSFS marketplace !

Thanks so much GigantPetz and Biokerozen. I am anxious for this version of the Arrow and was getting concerned nothing had been said by JF since the March 3 update. My fears are relieved and now I can sleep soundly in hopes that it will be released soon. Much appreciated! :+1:

I’m still waiting for it too since the actual pa28 is released ! But it’s a shame for JF to not update their Dev page…

They are busy fixing the non-Turbo version and everything they fix in there will help for a smooth Turbo version.
Give them some time…

I know and of course I prefer they take their time to release something that is working nice but in the same time I assume there is a lot of disappointed people seeing that abandoned Dev page. It takes no time to write something that says they are still working on it and so on…
It’s just about a good community management. Before 3 march Dev page was updated about every 20 days

Bought this in support of a warrior/any non-complex version of the pa28

Why is HSI “sky” white & not Blue ?

AP PIDs are far from optimized, and can get into an unrecoverable unstable state.

GTN750 is great in the plane, but the the other OLD Radio & useless G100 seem way out of place.

It would be a nice SIM "Generic" low wing GA with Steam Gauges, if only there were an option to sub in the GNS430 for the old radios, and swap out the G100 for the KAP140 AP.
Obviously the AP PIDs will need optimizing …

Because that is how it is in the real aircraft, G-BGKU, which was used for reference in the original development of this addon.

Sorted for the next update.

Again, what was in the airframe as looked at, I believe.

No idea about that, possibly one of the coding chaps will notice this and answer, or maybe try posting on the JF forum or even submit a support ticket to get a direct answer?

Obviously, because you mentioned it twice  As I said, check the next update!

Glad that it isn’t just my imagination… I’ve only had it happen once, but it was confusing.

Altitude hold when flying up near oxygen required height can get wonky. I hit an aggressive downdraft over a mountaintop that dropped me nearly 400 feet. The AP dutifully tried to get back to the set altitude and quickly stalled the aircraft. Trim had been rolled to full nose up, and it took a bit of crafty flying to get things sorted… all while watching the next peak looming large in the windscreen.

(I know, I know… 1.5 X terrain height.)
