I hear what you’re saying with not wanting to purchase from a website rather an app like contrail or Orbx. However, if there is a time to do it for at least one airport it’s this one. Given there is no other KSLC remotely close to this quality, let alone payware in general, you can’t go wrong.
This payware is easily in my top 3 to fly in or out of.
Wasn’t sure if this was best place for this question but I’ll give it a shot.
Anyone using GSX Pro experience passengers sticking out the bottom of jetways, boarding and de boarding??
As it was brought up in support in GSX discord but was quickly directed to be asked toward the devs? To my understanding there is not a GSX profile made for this airport yet.
As I am not the only one experiencing this, was curious if anywhere found a way around this? I can’t recall noticing this after initial release or maybe it’s specific gates
This really isn’t a surprise. Someone can verify what I’m about to say as I’m not 100% sure. But the terminal buildings are relatively new compared to the other airports (e.g. Brussels, Denver, Stockholm) so not much weathering at all is to be expected. In fact parts of especially Terminal B is still under construction.
I will say this. It is a beautiful rendition of SLC. Well Done @Coconutdrift338. I’m a bit of a person who likes to see weathering done on airports but I completly agree that it is justified to not do any weathering (or minimally that I did not catch on) on the terminal buildings seeing that they are quite new and still under construction so great job representing that there. Also good performance on my aging computer with an I5, 16gb of RAM, and GTX1660ti. I have full confidence thus, that it was really good performance on a computer with much higher specs than mine. I look forward to any other U.S. airports you may release in the future which hopefully isn’t one I already have payware on!
14 new gates opened today in IRL. Can’t wait for an update for my home airport!
Bravo to the devs on an already great looking airport with great performance. Flying in/out of KSLC irl I can attest to the realism and attention to actual detail. The interiors match perfectly, even down to the airlines at the correct gates
Flying in and out of KSLC a fair bit right now. It’s a great hub for short hops from Denver & west coast. I’ve only been to KSLC once IRL many years ago. Great approach scenery with the Great Salt lake and the surrounding mountains. Love Pacsim’s version though - a work of art. Most recently flew in there in the maddog.
I’m hoping there is an update when the construction is all done adding the new gates!! I’m feeling 50/50 on hope thought because I read on their website PacSim ideally releases as final and typically does not do updates (like inibuilds, Flightbeam, Orbx, ect)
I hope I am mistaken and there comes an update but for now I’m loving this airport as is!!!
Same. I’m normally at 45 fps, which is what I set my limit at, at KSLC I’m looking at 15 fps. I also have double VGDS’ now. One at the normal spot the other underneath it on the ground
I can confirm it is a bit on the heavy side perf wise for me in KSLC last night. First time visiting there post SU14. FPS In 20’s not 30+ (3090, TLOD 100). Haven’t had an issue before. Or is it just part of the SU14 perf issues that some have reported?
How exactly do you check for update from this dev or would you get an email from them? The download link on original purchase was just a temporary one.
Just checking on this airport - see a lot of chatter that a recent update made the performance subpar. Is that still the case? Despite the price tag I’ve tried to talk myself into this purchase. But the lack of response of the developer that was present in this thread around release time makes me think they’re abandoning the airport and have little concern about the issues.
