Clear skies as far as the eye can see. Whether it be raining, foggy, windy or snowing! No amount of tinkering can shift those lovely clear skies. If only the weather acted like it in real life!

did you disable the volumetric effects?
And. Clear skies in the second flight. Always.

How many updates do they need until basic functions that worked in ancient sims do work here?

They do work. Perhaps you should file a support ticket.
Works totally fine and beautiful for me.
Just had a flight around my town in live weather and it was spot on, even the band of rain clouds in distance!

Verified the same yesterday, flew over the Alps in beautiful clear skies, to find Zurich in dense fog just like it was IRL.
I just did a local flight. Real life overcast and showers. MSFS perfectly clear.
Real Life 8:30 am, MSFS “Live Time” 7:09 am…
If they can’t get a clock right, how could they get the weather right?

Land, go to main menu, start next flight from same airport, verify “live weather” in the settings -> clear skies, 29.92 on the Altimeter.

Are you online and logged in successfully? What’s your data settings? it should be switch to on for everything. Any firewall blocking connection to the sim’s weather data, maybe?
You mean me and my lets say 15 friends on discord all have the same firewall and same settings that are producing this problem?
And that the first weather is allowed, but the second isnt? Reloading scenery does work during both sessions by the way.
Its clearly reproducable. And I am not the only one who is affected. All discord servers I am member of are full with questions regarding this problem.
Its on Asobos side and they should fix it.

I’ve flown some flights above Norway and Sweden in Live Mode a few hours ago, and I have multiple cloud layers, 40 knots headwind and a windy landing. So I’m not sure what’s difference between my setup and you and 15 of your friends’ setup.
Logout of xbox and back in again to resolve.
Nothing new here. It´s the same old annoying bug…the live weather injection fails if you return from your first spawn on the runway/airfield back to the main screen and then respawn a 2nd time.
Only solution is to restart the entire sim.

Did you get my “Second flight”-point? When you end the flight back to main menu and start over at the same airport? When I restart the sim for every flight or change the region I am flying in its using live weather, but not when I start over at the same airport WITH going to the main menu and enter a new flightplan.
I did. So when I finished my flight. I went back to the main menu. Without exiting the sim, I set another airport on live mode. And I can see the live weather for that place.
But I didn’t try to start over at the same airport after returning to the main menu, though… I’ll try that later today.

I restarted 2 times the sim and never got real weather. Annoying!!!

Same here, 1st flight fine next flight, regardless of starting location, just clear skies. Sim restart solves it, well, for one flight.

I’ve had that issue constantly as well. Then randomly, the weather will start working fine for a few days, then it reverts back to that same Live weather on first flight, default clear weather for subsequent.
Typically, it starts working for me a few days before patch day. Then the patch breaks it for the next 10-ish days, then it start working fine until the next patch repeats the cycle.
