this is what NYC looks for me. Basic install, no add-ons. And my system is a mediocre i7 with a Radeon Rx580
I am content with it

Looks good indeed.
It has to be my Internet causing my issue.
I tried AT&T fibre internet when we first moved into the city. I never saw more than 86 mb/s down with them. I was contracted for 1000.
Canceled before the 30 day trial ended, but was met with the typical AT&T scam bullcrap, saying they couldn’t get a technician out to disconnect service until after the trial period expired and my contract locked.
After a…colorful…exchange with the customer service department, they magically were able to get someone out in time to disconnect service and release us from the contract.
Went back to Charter Spectrum and have never looked back. I pay for 400 mb/s down, and never see less than 430.
And the customer service is really good, unlike AT&T, which always feels like you’re being dragged into a cult. Blood in, blood out, every time I have dealt with them in my 42 years. I honestly feel terrible for their customer service reps.
Yeah I am getting 6 DL and 5 UL I believe! Ridiculous… due to put in a call tomorrow.
That’s a coincidence as I was flying there this week in similar conditions…
This uses Sam Scene 3D NYC scenery…
Does that mod place smoke stacks and such as according to real life location? Or is it just random placement to give eye candy smoke stack?
I believe even the default should put all those things where they belong.
I honestly don’t know. It appears to be a combo of data from real-world databases, manual placement and some algorithmically based automatic placement. That said, there are some real-world power plants with smokestacks not that far from NYC.
Oh I see ok, thanks for the info and also the link! Will check it out
Hello Kevin, it does not seem silly, it happens to me too, in London some time ago it was a shame to fly, melted buildings and constant stuttering, when they did the performance update it was fixed, now it is much better, however look at these screenshots below, It is the refinery near the Vienna airport, LOWW, well, look at how it works out, only the refinery, the other buildings work out more or less well.
Exactly what I see!! The very same… I noticed it today again DXB (OMDB)
Tested Vegas aswell and same…
Have you guys installed the World Updates from the Market place?
Yeah! I might even try uninstall and reinstall the world updates!
Kevin, it goes without saying that you’ve rebooted your modem/gateway as well as any router and switches between the modem and your computer. Correct?
I ask because I’ve seen speeds almost as horrible as you’re reporting on my 200mbs connection that were corrected by simply powering down everything and then sequentially restarting the gateway, main router, and the mesh node to which my computer is connected.
Agreed, 100%.
This is my current (wifi) connection to my gaming/sim PC. I am upstairs in my game room, which is separated from my wireless access point by a floor and at least two interior walls. Also up here in the same room, I’m watching a 1080p video on YouTube at the moment on an AppleTV, and my wife and daughter are both either gaming or streaming stuff downstairs - wife connected to the main router via ethernet, daughter via wifi. House internet connection is gigabit fiber-to-the premises, where it meets a fiber-to-ethernet box, then the ISP-provided gateway box. I disabled that box’s LAN and wireless features and use my own WiFi router and home LAN management tools instead to keep things running smooth everywhere in the house and the yard.
My PC does not have a graphics card. What card is recommended within a reasonable budget?
Australia
Yeah I’ve just done the same…
He wrote that he “… still get[s] reasonable results over NY”, so his whole point was that the photogrammetry looks okay to him, as seen in the attached screenshot
I’ve started using a VPN not sure if placebo but seems better since
