PMDG 737 Discussion (PC Version) (Part 1)

Well seeing as the alternative ProSim737 flight simulation license costs €1,500 for a software that needs to be installed to a hardware that I don’t have… I think what PMDG charges is reasonable.

Sure, if you live in a wealthy country, if you earn in dollars/pounds/euros or any other comparable currency. But at 69 bucks i bet you, 3rd world countries are not the PMDG desired market. But well, lets wait and see what happens, I will give it a chance.

for this plane to use navigraph airac do we need an external installer release or does use the navigraph airac addon from sim community folder?

This my first time purchasing something at pmdg so I don’t know how to continue

You have to do a good job and be a bit lucky: We want, and we really want to buy the PMDG 737, and the seller doesn’t want to sell his product, or rather he can’t give so many customer service  We want pay money and seller doesn’t want to get our money! What do you call such a reverse situation except luck!

Good first impression. The only thing that bugs me is the front side of the engines, looks a bit plastic, but I guess that’s easy to amend.
Very nice cockpit with a bit of tinkering.

Initial demand was so overwhelming that PMDG had to shut new orders down. Should be back up at 0400Z.

It’s like this with every major release from PMDG. I remember the same thing with the PMDG 777 for FSX crashed their delivery system for a good day before downloads and orders could proceed.

Regardless, orders will be fulfilled at some point. You will just need to wait a bit longer…

This places the blame on the customers. This is very much PMDGs fault as they clearly did not suitably test their fulfillment process.

What do you blame a Boxing Day sale crush on, the customers or the size of the door?

WHY is it Unavailable?

I suppose that’s true. I grew up in a country with low GPD per Capita and now I live in a higher one. So I know what it feels like to have something that may seem cheap but in reality it’s not depending on where you are financially.

But hobbies are like that. They’re expensive. So it’s a matter of whether you feel justified spending the money on them. If you are only buying it to just spend one or two flights with it. Then yeah, it’s not a good way to spend money on them.

But if you’re planning to fly the aircraft for thousands of hours. Suddenly, a seemingly steep price might not be as expensive as you’d think. And people who are committed to the hobby, are willing to pay the price.

It’s about price to value balance. The amount of money they spent developing it and the amount of money they receive from sales. Put it too little, and they’ll lose potential profits. Put it too high, and they’ll lose sales.

And setting up different prices for different countries are a recipe for disaster. What’s to stop people from using VPN to spoof themselves to be located in a low GPD per capita country so they can get cheaper items, than otherwise would have been more expensive at their own location.
