About 4 months at the current rate. Lots of night scenery to get on first.
or can we like refund it some how ? the plane
It just means that itās in review. It can take a few weeks or a month depending on how quick the testing goes. If itās in P1 and it goes through quickly, then we can have it in 2 weeks (as seen with other updates).
You canāt select Lakey arrival into Manchester? As itās my local airport I fly into it regularly so approaching from the north I have to enter Rosun as my last waypoint before centre fix. As it happens Rosun is the last waypoint in the Lakey arrival
I would think PMDG have been scratching their heads with this AIRAC problem for some time, itās disappointing that as a Xbox user I only get limited auto functions from the FMS. I subscribed to Navigraph once I purchased the 737-700 not realising you could not BackTrack AIRAC DB. For me AIRAC 2203 - 24Mar22 to 20Apr22 is the min date I can go and for now has worked well for the 737 but YES there are times it just has the odd hiccup. I will then edit my FP in the Navigraph APP (Wonderful) and find a waypoint that works but having said that 99% of the time Simbrief works well for me. We can only hope an answer to our problems will conclude shortly.
I will also point out āAnd I do this sometimesā - If you have Navigraph subscription and have to change your flight plan in the Navigraph charts app then you can then save this out and update your Simbrief flight plan once saved in there it will always be ready to use again with corrected waypoints.
After seeing various videos of the PMDG UFT in action on the PC i am very much hoping this will work in the same way on the XBOX when and if it gets released, if this does work in the same way it does for the PC this will be a massive game changer for us on the XBOX regardless of all the people giving negative feedback on the PC for on XBOX this is something we thought would never happen, so i am very much looking forward to using this, i already have a simbrief and full navigraph subscription, so come on microsoft get it sorted

Has anyone else been experiencing the engine information repeatedly swapping to the bottom MFD without any user input? It seems to have started happening this week along with a flashing white box around the secondary engine info when there is a thrust change or something on the info table when displayed in the upper MFD.
Itās very odd and Iām sure itās a brand new thing!
ETA: it seemed to also happen when switching between vnav and lvlchg mode on the autopilot.
Whatās going on??!
From time to time I look in on the 737 thread for PC and poke around the PMDG forums, though less and less these days. Why? The -700 runs flawlessly on my Series X these days and while yes all the keystrokes between SimBrief and wheels up can be tedious, I have a procedure flow that works without fail end-to-end from booting the Xbox to TOC.
We know from MSFS history that there are these brief, serendipitous sweet spots when most everything works and is pleasing to use. Putting aside a few troublesome add ons, KJFK comes to mind, I have logged many trouble-free flight hours in the -700 since the last update from PMDG via MSFS, and MSFS itself. While I do enjoy the new procedure flow made possible by the tablet added to the 787, I still prefer the smaller bird despite all those keystrokes, and the occasional operator keyboard error.
Why post about all this? Reading what the PC users are going through now and looking in on the PMDG tablet videos on YouTube, I am actually glad that our updates are jammed up in the marketplace intake/QC/release process. Now I do realize from RSRās most recent post on PMDG Forum that the situation and solution for Xbox is complex; and I do realize that there are some long desired intermediate updates delayed in-between, i.e., Ryanair blue?; but I am actually delighted to be able to log so many trouble free hours meanwhile. We will all be back to involuntary beta testing when the next round of releases hit the marketplace, and while I hope our ride is smoother than the PC crowd, I will fondly look back on this few months when I crossed 100 hours in type (and probably fly the 787 more often till the xbox gremlins get updated out of the skies). Thoughts?
How does fps performance of PMDG 737 compare to WT 787 on your xbox? I havenāt noticed much improvement after updating to SU14, PMDG runs great on my series X but Iām still getting much lower frame rates with the 787 especially at busy airports.
i dont have the plane, but from other peopleās report and review, it is very optimized for xbox, havenāt seen a black avionics report and/or ctd
Yes its a great plane and very optimised but the xbox users are forgotten about by pmdg now
lol thatās true, the updates are many months behind
Iād much prefer that they get the AIRAC cycle update issue sorted first before they sink their resources into the EFB.
Doubt weāll ever get it updated at this rate.
I also have the impression that the 737 is abandoned on Xbox.
If thatās indeed the case, the Administration needs to come forward and apologize to us Xboxers for taking our money and not giving us the update support.
We paid a fine dollar to purchase the model and we should be given the same level of service.
XBOX X
Maybe the PMDG sales volumes for Xbox were disappointing ?? I would love to know the figures if anybody knows them although PMDG are usually very secretive about numbers, but even if they are poor I would be very surprised if they did not continue with the work on the EFB for Xbox . One thing I know for sure is that after 20 years using Flight sim I will most definitely Not be going back to PC under any circumstances.
Iām done with PC as well. Been there, done that.
Itās surely not abandoned, but there are issues and it takes a lot of time to fix them. In particular the EFB on xbox is apparently broken due to API bugs on MSFS side, which is also why the Fenix A320 block B has been delayed so long, they are having to work around (different) MSFS bugs. Life is not so easy as a plane developer!
For me it is similar to the A310 - lower frame rates around large airports and a CTD or unresponsive avionics/switches from time to time. Nothing terrible though, I did approx. 25 flights last week (all ~90-180mins long) and had ~3-4 ctds. Sometimes it gets worse unfortunately and I remember days where I couldnāt finish a single flight with it, due to CTDs or unresponsive avionics.
