PMDG 737 Discussion (Xbox Series S|X version)

Yeh same for me too unfortunately.

May as well cancel my navigraph subscription as haven’t been able to update the Airac in a while and doesn’t seem to be fixed anytime soon.

I’ll make do with the MSFS charts for now

Today b737 update NAVDATA completed everything good :+1:

from EFB And the FMC give me the new version !!!

I’ve done a few flights in the 737 800 since the update, and all I can say is wow! It seems so much smoother now and the annoying stutter every 10 mins or so, accompanied with the sound of a skipping record has gone. It’s seems much nicer on the takeoff roll too, it seems to track the runway centre line much nicer. Great job team :+1:

I tried again today after seeing your reply and it is still not working for me. I have tried logging out of navigraph many times and signing back in, disabled the 737 in my library, restart sim, activate 737, restart sim and launch a flight and it always says failed when clicking reinstall nav data. Yet on the EFB it says 2602 as currently installed. On the flip side my FMC has finally updated to last months nav data, but it will not update to the latest.

Ok try also this go to :

manage game and add-ons

after go to saved data and clean Reserved space!

Restart Xbox and check if it works !

I’m hoping to avoid that until SU5 drops because it’s so long winded disabling all the default airports for every marketplace purchase I have and there’s a lot :see_no_evil_monkey:

I also don’t want to lose all my custom camera views again as well as wear and tear progression across my A2A and BLKSQR aircraft.

Thank you very much for the suggestion though. I’ll probably end up caving in when I get some free time to do it.

You are welcome :100:

After updating to SU5 Beta and simultaneously updating the 737-800, intermittent stutters occurred on all flights, every 1 second apart, throughout the entire descent from cruising altitude to 10,000 feet, then disappeared.
I understand this is an Xbox-only issue, not the PC version, because from the comments these simmers don’t seem to detect any issues.
Furthermore, the black lines on the landscape and the overlapping ATC voices are still present, as well as the stutters when ATC intervenes.
I hope for a quick resolution.

Make sure you report these things to Microsoft!

Yeah , today did my 2nd stream in my new PMDG 737-600 from Malta to Mallorca.

2 hours in flight and bammm , black screen and back to Xbox dashboard.

Great to spend 2 hours to end up haf way back on your dashboard.

I do think it’s the game though. Not my PMDG plane. Btw I’m never on beta so that can’t be it.

And the plane behaved all good so I wonder if it’s the box or the game

Just curious - are you in the beta?

I used to have many CTDs on Xbox, but can’t remember having a single one since SU4. Although I must say not many of my flights extend beyond an hour (I make good use of the time compression feature in PMDG planes, otherwise mainly local flying in GA.

It’s definitely the sim and not the plane. I had the same issue happen twice to me recently and only just after starting a flight with the A2A Comanche 2024 version. Also on SU4.

I was in every beta up until SU4 released and haven’t bothered to try SU5 yet.

While Xbox/PS5 and Windows stability do differ, we believe that the results of our test and user input are at least partly applicable. I have to prepare Xbox systems for events and demonstrations, and I would ALWAYS remove all DLC other than what is needed.

I had my first CTD in the 737-800 on Monday. It happened around 20000ft climbing out of Manchester. Fingers crossed, I haven’t had another since then, and I’ve done maybe 7 or 8 flights in it since. It seemed to happen when the weather was down on 2020, but think it may have upset 2024 too possibly. I do have some add on airports but that’s the only add ons I really have apart from aircraft. I also can’t remember if I cleared my rolling cache after the update to the 737 last Friday, so that could well have been a factor too.

A post was merged into an existing topic: SU5 - Currently incompatible addons?

I was just validating what this user stated in his post that it’s not PMDG’s plane that’s causing his CTD’s. PMDG aircraft are unbelievably optimised and I wish other developers could replicate this.

Yes, I also have a lot of marketplace add-ons (aircraft and airport scenery) which I can understand could cause issues especially if they are not optimised well and could clash with other add-ons etc but in my case with all the add-ons that I do have, I have never had any CTD issues since SU4 released. That was up until recently with A2A’s 2024 version of the Comanche and only when using the Comanche, so far. Haven’t tried the Aerostar since it’s been updated recently.

Only issue I have with PMDG’s MSFS2024 737-800 is updating the nav data which many other Xbox users are also experiencing. I have read on the PMDG forums that you guys are working on it. Some users have managed to get it to work.

The only thing I haven’t yet done is reset my cache which usually fixes most problems. I may try this later today, or tomorrow now that I have a couple days off after my 21 day straight at work.

I’ve reset rolling cache and it did nothing to fix the “error downloading nav data” message when I try to update it on the EFB

Thank you, I have tried to set up a new account as I forgot the one from my FSX days but I am still awaiting an email confirmation.

This is strange, I deleted my reserved space last night and started my first free flight on the new cache and was successful in updating the nav data on the 737-800. I then tried the 777-300 but it stopped around 75%. Tried this multiple times with sim and console restarts last night and always stops around 75%.

I then tried Inibuilds A350 and that also would not work, then again with the A340-300 also failing.

Azlog when you attempted to update the nav data after resetting your cache with the 737, was this the first aircraft you attempted or did you update any other planes beforehand?

I’ve tried the 777 and the A350 as well as the 737 and none of them will update, even after various resets of the cache
