Yes, but hopefully it’s a few months away yet to let my funds replenish. Too many good aircraft released recently, it should be illegal.

Are you using ActiveSky?
ActiveSky tends to create some strange/unrealistic wind/turbulence effects in some areas, combined with the “realistic AP activation” option of the 777 you can run into AP activation issues because the plane is not leveled and trimmed for AP engagement. Disable ActiveSky using MSFS real weather to see if your problems are gone.
PMDG please fix outdoor sounds that are being played inside the 777, only way to stop it is to turn off enviroment sounds in the sim…
I think they are tagetting any functionality stuff first, but I suspect they know about the sounds already. There are more updates due soon I think. But yes the ext sounds of AI airliners spooling up & taking off at full throttle volume while you are trying to get some peace to program your FMC is a tad annoying, especially at busy airports which tends to be most of the time in a 777!
One great addition would be mouse stuff (once of course the key ones are delt with) like JF scroll ability on those, especially three positions switches…
But yeah, I’ve been flying this bird all day every day… I think it may be borderline addiction…
Mate it’s absolutely nuts…
It’s like literally 2 years ago when a very similar thing happened with fenix, 737-7 and the 146 all coming out together within weeks as well as the 310 and 410…
That was a very sobering experience when your actual bills get declined due to “lack of funds…”
I’m actually starting to enjoy long hauls especially with a stable 8x simrate option and auto stepped climbs. The 777 is great because everything about it feels like a big aircraft, takeoff, landing planning etc. Really enjoying it too and I was skeptical before. I’m now realising that what the sim was missing was a well modelled wide body. I have to hand it to PDMG creating a totally different sim experience. I don’t even think the default WT 747 even comes close to having that big a feel about it. The 777 does.
Yes very addictive too, 6 flights in now, and I have a strong need for more.
Yea I trim according to the takeoff performance calculator suggestion.
I’ll try elevator trim lever in middle position though.
I know it has to be me.
Mate, I swear by simrate and have been doing it purely for all forms of flights all the way back to the fs9 days, it’s highly underrated and many many many folk here can literally save so much by just embracing it and remember… They arnt paid xxxx an hour to soak up a 14 hour flight… where you can get the full satisfaction in doing multiple 14 hour flights within a single sitting…
I just wish so many others would find the golden goose that makes their aircraft… (All the airbuses) simrate compatible and not just 2x and a short 4x…
8x Should be the benchmark and 16x should be achievable…
It seriously makes the experience and doing these flights and being able to fully utilise these types of aircraft to their full potential…
I really do fear for the fbw A380…
I’m really loving what I used to do way back in the fs9/x days and I am absolutely fizzing at the prospect of the 747-400… If that beast is anything like this… OMG I think my partner will be… possibly calling the SAR party to find me
Oh and have you tried the RNP approaches yet… I was going to recommend the Auckland RNP S 23L approach but just go the full hog and perform that notorious RNP 20 one at Kathmandu…
That is a legit heavy capable one that 747s can do…
Get yourself the Thai airways livery and the freeware kathmandu and bangkok one and your all good to go…
Lets see the whites in your eyes
Bit of a difficult question to answer I know but from previous aircraft - do we know how long it takes for FSCrew to release post aircraft release?
The T/C marker completly froze up.
I am at level cruise and the waypoints are passing the t/c marker.
Is this a bug?

Your cruise alt on the CRZ VNAV page is probably set for 350 or 370. Can you double check what it is set to?
Check, 370!
Ahh that would do it. It’s telling you roughly when you’d hit 370 if you began climbing now. You can reset it to 330 to get rid of the T/C marker.
T/C is Top of Climb. Step Climbs will be denoted by S/C. Make sure your VNAV page shows the planned step climb. It should have the altitude and distance to go. No need to change the MCP altitude for a step climb.
Hi all,
I get a checklist warning on takeoff and landing - how to do I mark this as complete?
Hit the CHK button on the EICAS and complete the checklists.
