[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

Wish I could tell you. I’m preparing a long post in this thread about all the things I don’t like about the Marketplace and My Library, and this is on it. My Library is cluttered with a lot of stuff I don’t need and I don’t want.

You can vote for this if it’s important to you. I did:

So now we have 2 PMDG aircraft submitted to 2024 MP, the 777-200 and the 777F upgrade. The 777-300 should also join these 2 by the end of the week
Let’s see how long it takes for them to show up on the 2024 MP, especially for Xbox. I’m guessing at least 4 weeks. It still feels like the 2024 MP isn’t fully operation, it’s just junk after junk nothing exciting

They actually released Captain Sims 777-300er on the in-sim marketplace in msfs2024 the same day as pmdg released the 777F. Which in my opinion was horrible, they’ve been sitting on the pmdg 777-200ER for almost a month now. Release that, ,not CS stuff

The CRJ v2 is not in the fs2024 marketplace yet even though the update is out for fs2020

Neither the 777F was released the same day as the CS 77W, nor has PMDG sent the 772 to MP yet. Please be a bit careful with this kind of info

Actually it was on marketplace on xbox on msfs24.
And actually yes pmdg said on their stream that the 772 er had been sent for product testing for the marketplace on their livestream on the releaseday

Now please Asobo, the transparency we were promised. What’s the holdup for the a350 and the 777s marketplace for xbox simmers. The a 350 has been out for months now for pc-users.

I’ve only seen the possibility to sort products by newest

Ask Microsoft, Asobo is not managing the Marketplace.

Ahhh not even the in-game one. Its the in-game marketplace i meant

Marketplace intake etc. is handled by Microsoft. Asobo is not involved.

Updates that have actually been submitted for the given platform could be delayed for a lot of reasons and could be waiting for actions from both/either Microsoft Marketplace team or the developer. E. g., tests might be pending or might have revealed an issue that needs to be corrected. It’s frustrating waiting for updates to finally get released. I guess the best take is to ask the developer for details about the status.

Been trying to but yeah. Hopefully we’ll see it in a month or 2

Why is MSFS2024 so user unfriendly. I haven’t a clue what’s going on. MSFS2020 I know what’s new and what updates there are. MS2024 I see updates but how the hell do you install them. I really don’t know why Asobo have destroyed all user friendliness and given us this. I just feel that it’s one step forward and two steps back. I really want 2024 to succeed.

There’s no competition. If there were competition, say, XPlane with Google Earth as an example, mybe MSFS2024 would be different.

Just from a UI/UX experience, it’s quite a massive step backwards from the 2020 Marketplace, and that wasn’t even very good. I don’t even think optimizing for a console is an excuse for how bad it is.

It would be nice if there was a website were we could at least browse the catalog.

You can use Xplane with google earth. Someone developped a mod already that streams Google aerial photography the same way MSFS does basically. But even with this, it doesn’t look nearly as good as MSFS does. The rendring engine is simply leagues behind what Asobo made and had access to.

From what I have seen I would agree. The streamed terrain looks okay but you are missing a lot of other things, like the terrain altitude accuracy, procedural tree, and building replacement. The world looks almost flat. That’s why pretty much every XP video you see on YT is from one custom scenery to another, and almost nobody does bush flying.

Let’s keep the discussion in this topic on Marketplace Feedback. Comments on XPlane can be continued here:
