PSA for everyone having random crashes to desktop (CTD): make sure you have pagefile enabled

There are a lot of “Windows Tweaks” on the internet that disable it to free up drive space when you REALLY shouldn’t do that, even if you have tons of RAM.

To check if your pagefile is properly configured, follow these steps:

On the start menu, search for SystemPropertiesAdvanced and press Enter . On the window that opens, click the Advanced tab, then under the Performance section, click the Settings button. Then, click on the Advanced tab and click Change button under the Virtual Memory section.

Make sure System managed size is checked.

This fixed problems for two friends of mine who were experiencing random CTD. Both of them had pagefile disabled.
