Ah, got it. So settings changed while in Safe Mode persist when existing safe mode, they just aren’t applied while in Safe mode?
The only difference in safe mode is that settings are not loaded. Everything else behaves normally.
If you change a setting while in safe mode, it will be loaded once you exit safe mode.
What is the recommended way to use World Scale in SU10 with OpenXR? I just got my my IPD measured at the eye doctor today.
I’ve never messed with it before until SU10. But I thought 90% made the moon look more realistic to me. But perhaps that doesn’t even matter for distant objects? It might just be my brain playing tricks on me.
The G2 has a physical adjustment but it appears to impact alignment more so than world scale. The sim gives a percentage and OpenXR toolkit seems to have a IPD measurement.
I assume we want either the sim or OpenXR to be at default if the other is used.
The moon is too big in VR, I wouldn’t use it as a reference, better to adjust world scale in the cockpit (I fine stock Cessna 152 and TBM930 a little on the small side). As far as I’m aware World scale is exactly that and has nothing to do with the IPD adjustment.
I had the Quest2 first some year ago during 3 months. and I remember the VC in the A320 that was immense for me, like if I was a child in size, then in G2 the sizes are normal more or less, the moon always too big, maybe is intended to give more cinematic beauty, bad done if that is so, I want the real live size.
I am thinking too that IPD does not have nothing to do.

Gday Matt, since the last beta update the toolkits stopped working altogether, it worked the first time after updaye but now it CTD’s every time not sure whats going on they must have changed something it was fine on previous beta version except for that foveated thing but that little reg edit solved that, i tryed it with and without that edit made no diff it crashes every time.
just though id let you know, i cant find an error file either does it hide them somewhere wierd?.
What HMD/Software are you using? Latest update and no issues for me with Reverb G2 & WMR.

OpenXR Toolkit does not seem to currently work for me with SU10 Beta and a Vive Pro 2 on a 3080 at all. Trying to enable just causes a crash to desktop. This is on DX11 but setting disable_interceptor in registry seems to make no difference. DX12 is the same.
Last message in OpenXR toolkit’s log file is:
“XR_EXT_eye_gaze_interaction is not available from the OpenXR runtime or any upstream API layer.”
HTC’s OpenXR support is a mess, can you try switching SteamVR as the OpenXR runtime instead?

Hi, when the official SU10 will be released do you have a plan to relese the new and official verison of OpenXR toolkit too?
Before install of SU10 do I must uninstall version before (I havent a beta of SU10 so I have not idea of proper behavior :), Im on SU9 still)? If Id like to have my current settings in Toolkit (from SU9) I must to do backup as well?
Unfortunately at this time I’m too busy and I cannot guarantee that there will be a release in time for SU10.
SteamVR is currently the OpenXR runtime (I don’t even see a way to set it to anything else in the SteamVR settings).

My fingers are crossed because I dont fly MSFS without your soft it was “game changer” for me in VR mode in MSFS.
Hey Matthiew. What is the eta on the next OpenXR Tool (not toolkit) update? And will there be any particular benefit worth mentioning at the wmr consumer level? Cheers
Aiming for end of this month. I think the only changes you will care about here are updates to stabilize motion reprojection frame rates (nothing yet to address visual glitches, but working on those too, just not going to make it on time for this release, hopefully the next one).
I think SU10 will be near 15-18 of September so dont rush ;). You have more time thanks!
The OpenXR (NOT Toolkit) releases affect other customers outside of Flight Sim, so our schedule doesn’t really depend on SU10 release. Ie: I have other customers waiting on that release for completely different reasons.
