Pyrocumulonimbus

It would REALLY promote a green-agenda and climate change awareness if MS Flight Simulator 2020 does Pyrocumulonimbus clouds really well. They are very impressive structures with a lot of activity and flying over fires would really help show just what is happening, especially since fires are indeed increasing in size and intensity.

And fires are very responsive to climactic conditions and probably one of the most potent canaries in this coalmine Earth.

These topics asking for specific cloud types haven’t had any interaction for several months and very, very low votes. Unless that changes soon it would seem that clouds will get much less attention from devs in the future.

  1. Cirrus clouds
  2. Lenticular clouds
  3. Stratus clouds
  4. Where are the cumulonimbus clouds?

I’ve fought and flown in helicopters under quite a few of them. They are more impressive than regular storm clouds because of just how dense and reflective yet absorptive they are. Their density just lets them “billow” in a way that looks like it could push something whereas other clouds look - well - like clouds.

To add to your idea, since NASA does “active fires” from satellites - MSFS can just import the data and simulate actual real on-going wildland fires and their smoke conditions?
