RELEASE NOTES 1.2.11.0 Discussion

A month since the last update and they fixed one cosmetic item?
I understand there was a holiday, but couldn’t that bug have been addressed by a single intern over their lunch break? What have they all been doing?

Hello @DeathBySybian,

As I previously posted in another thread, today’s hotfix is not Sim Update 1. This is a small hotfix whose only intent was to resolve a regression introduced in the 1.2.8.0 update that prevented avionics in certain aircraft from working properly in some scenarios.

Larger updates with more fixes remain in the works.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

The sad part is that the thing that was fixed is something they broke in the last fix.

This is the MINIMUM we are all waiting for…

While i may be just as desirous if not more for the devs to fix MSFS2024 as quickly as possible. They are entitled to their holidays just as much as you are. If it bothers you that much then i suggest a refund… or playing something else. But no employee is going to take kindly to people barking orders that they should be giving up their holidays to fix stuff at work.

They are going to prioritize their personal lives over the holidays first whether there is a crisis going on at the office or not.

and pushing quick updates untested is asking for more trouble. I would like to see a more refined time frame of when SU1 is going to be released but apart from that time is needed to code, test, and qa.

I have deleted my question. Sorry, if my question offended anyone.

The optics of prioritizing a cosmetic fix over bugs that can destroy a career airplane and bankrupt you are not great. Why even bother to release a patch that only has one bullet point unless it’s game breaking? Especially when there are existing game breaking bugs. Career bugs should be prioritized as you can lose weeks worth of progress. That’s beyond game breaking, it’s infuriating and devastating.

Thousands of errors and they fix a graphics setting. That’s a bad joke.

Am I optimistic to expect a serious update at the end of February?

Well, this ‘small hot fix’ now broke loading for MSFS2024 for me on PC. Always gets stuck on 57% world data loading. Nothing in community folder, and deleted my .ccc file. :frowning: Next step is to reinstall. It was loading fine earlier in the day.

*Reinstall got it working again

Didn’t cause any problems for me.

I would like to be informed about which bugs the development team is currently working on fixing. What can we expect?

More than a Gig byte small hot fix. Any fix is a good fix I guess.

Just did a flight in the Fenix A319.

My Take:

Everything fie with WinWing FCU/FCIS.

GSX is still a bit confused with parked stairs you have to taxi through etc. And AI planes are in the gate you should taxi to. No change from before.

Flight CYSJ-CYHZ with a few in route plan changes, just for fun. No problems at all.

Looks great flies great as before.

Career I think is less of a priority as performance and Stability fixes. but thats my opinion. yours will differ

Career is not essential.
I didn’t do this and I will not … For me Career mode is an error for XBoxMan …

You know it’s bad when Asobo replaces their own release notes in the game with a generic statement not claiming any work was done.

Their motto, “for the community - with the community” doesn’t seem to be accurate at all.

The most progress you can lose in free flight is a single flight. You can be set back weeks in career.

until the end of february is too much really, we must expect at least one major patch this month before the sim update 1
