The LX- nav computer may be the culprit. Try dropping the glass cockpit refresh rate in VR settings.

I think the Discus 2c is a terrific project, I own the premium version. However, I have no interest in flying a glider without flaps. So the 2c will never leave itās hangar. Rather see GotFriends release a glider WITH flaps than spend any amount of time updating the 2c. But thatās just me, I enjoy managing my energy state with flaps. Makes soaring much more entertaining, imo.
If you want flaps, why would you buy a standard-class glider??
I bought the Discus solely to support GF.

I just got a new MSFS version running on a new system. I bought it on the MS Store. But Iām unsure how to install the gotfriends Discus Premium now. Searching the web I get all sorts of %appdata% instructions but not of appear to be correct. I cannot find an install guide in the downloaded zip file either. So how can I proceed with this ?
Sorry found it. Apprears to be c:\msfs2020 in my case.
Just go the the content manager and install it there!
I did buy it at flightsim.to. The content manager is the internal store in MSFS ? would that work ? Iāve actually never bought anything in the MSFS market place yet.
Nah, itās just for installing/uninstalling marketplace stuff. I think the dude above got a bit confused by you saying you bought MSFS in the MS Store thinking you meant you bought the Discus in the marketplace.

Just had a pilot testing the Discus. He mentioned that thereās no ground effect at all when landing.
In release 2.0.5 it stated :
Tuned Ground Effect
Is this a known issue ? Is this eventually a general problem in MSFS ?

Hi Iāve take advantage of this offer and bought the discuss but in the Micrisoft FS store.
The glider is installed, but I cannot find the weather preset (Soaring, Winter, Summer, etc etc), navigating in the weather options en MSFS ā¦ Are they still in work or ? Or are not necessary since MSFS give official support to gliders en 2023??
Hi and welcome, not every weather is good for gliding. So in Fs2020 as in the real world. You must have some experience to decide if the weather is acceptable. Otherwise search for āsoaring weather presetsā. You will find a manual for download and installing. The Presets have good thermals and you can choose the presets with the wind direction you need for your choosen landscape.

BTW, down on the Display of the discus are four light-Grey buttons. Press the left one to see the way of your glider and the position where it climbs or descents. If you pass trough a thermal and therfore you climb it will be light green. If you get out of the thermal you can turn back to fly to the āgreen areaā behind you. Try to circle in that way that you left a āgreen trackā behind you. That means you have the best position inside the thermal.

Out of interest, I went to fly the Discus after the most recent update to MSFS on Xbox and the soaring weather presets seem to have disappeared. I have the base weather presets and the big pack you can also buy on Xbox - couldnāt find the Got Friends ones on the list.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I wasnāt sure if I should open another thread, but Iāll try asking here first.
Basically, the question is: is the Discus-2c of much higher fidelity than the two gliders included in MSFS? (I have the premium deluxe version, in case that matters).
I specifically mean the flight characteristics, not so much the looks.
