[Released] Hondajet for MSFS

I just purchased and started flying the HJet yesterday. Where are the docs you mentioned?

I’ll write my thoughts about this aircraft at some point, but I really like it so far, despite a few little bugs I can work around.

Join their discord channel. Manuals are somewhere there and also a youtube video that goes through the exact manual test flight. The jet and the developer are awesome! Great add on for XBOX. Discord

I’am a bit confused about the IAS.

I climbed to about FL410 and GS was about 404kts.
IAS was still 210kts with FLC engaged and climb rate was about 400f/m.
There was a 2kt head wind and the speed tape shows a speed of 210kts.
Shouldn’t the IAS with a 2kt head wind be less than 210kts?
Plus if my GS is 404kts how could the aircraft climb at 210kts.

Supposedly: air speed = ground speed - wind speed

Air speed I believe, also accounts for a thinning atmosphere at those altitudes.

This is a major reason why we switch to Mach at those altitudes. That measures distance traveled per second.

Otherwise, you must travel like, 2x as fast to achieve the same amount of wind over the wings to stay aloft. So indicated air speed is like, the amount of air flowing over the wings at that altitude.

It behaves like a plane flying 200 at sea level even though the ground speed is much faster. So 200 is the air speed. Indicated air speed is all that matters to a plane to stay aloft, even though humans like to think in terms of how much ground is being covered (how long it takes to travel to the destination).

You have to change over to ‘Mach’ around 31,000 feet by pressing SPD SEL as you pass .57 mach. Once set to .57 you will then notice your IAS decreasing as you continue the climb. Headwinds/tailwinds have no effect on IAS (except at low altitudes with gusty winds) I think my IAS at cruise (FL400) is around 215 and Mach .71.

Same here. Can’t even fly it.

The developer has stated this is cosmetic only and a fix will be coming with next update. Make sure you load through the aircraft GTC only and not the MSFS menu.

If you feel like it, you can certainly report the bug to the Dev (I assume through the discord?), but I wouldn’t really expect any support on SU10 Beta per se, right? The Dev likely knows and has their own plan for when they address SU10. It may be that SU10 has issues, so, why bother making a fix for something that’s broken…

Except that airspeed isn’t measured from ground speed for IAS. IAS would be measured from the Pitot tube.

Mine has been smooth on series S. I recommend you remove some system things to lighten the load. Ie I have only route and airports shown on map in MFD I also removed the synthetic view in PFD. I tend to use navigraph on my iPad too. Maybe a few of these things will help…not sure. This sim is a bit of a mystery at times as we are on similar hardware yet experience is totally different.

Was that for me ? ■■■■ I wish people would learn to quote when they reply to days old messages.

What’s a GTC ?

Just in case you haven’t found them yet…

I replied directly to your post which I assumed was the same as quoting on this forum format (??). The GTC is the touchscreen controller that you use to enter the weights, flight plans, etc. As long as you set up everything there inside the aircraft, the CG will be fine regardless of the message from what the Dev has said.

Oh cool, thanks  I like the quotes, you can just highlight a few words and that’s what gets quoted, you can be amazingly specific.

A post was split to a new topic: Question About Route Generation

Anyone else getting really bad frame rates since the update?

@OracularTripod7

No, I have not noticed any difference in the performance of this HJ.

FPS is the same as always for me.

Same performance for me,Xbox x

I don’t know if this thread already has mention about this but I’d like to know how to set up my throttle for this aircraft. I can’t use reverse thrust now, my rev is idle atm. Don’t know if this bird has reverse thrust at all? How do you calibrate your throttle for this aircraft? I use Airbus throttle.
