RELEASED! Just Flight Bae146 "the Little Jumbojet" April 29th

We’ll see. Can’t commit to anything just yet. The latest build is looking seriously good but there are loose ends still to sort and a fair few of them. Also we have SU9 to contend with. Given that, we’re not going to commit to a date just yet. Thanks.

Thanks Scott - keep up the good work!

Very wise to not release before SU9 is here. It’s inevitably going to cause issues somewhere along the way.

I had the great privilege and pleasure to work at Hatfield during the Bae146 development phase until the sad closure of the factory in 1995. So it goes without saying that I am very excited to see the Just Flight version forthcoming release. They seem to have performed an excellent job of recreating what was the UK’s most successful and apparently final jet airliner. I cant wait.

I created a performance spreadsheet for the 146, for my own use, in order to assist in using the challenging airports that the aircraft assisted in developing. While waiting for the 146 release I expanded the spreadsheet to include 25 different Airbus, Boeing and BAE airline models, in anticipation of their eventual release in the sim. The spreadsheet is available as a free download.

The performance spreadsheet has been created from freely available company data, and will be fine tuned once the aircraft is released and I can evaluate the performance of the final product.

Any real life experience with the Dornier 328 Jet?

None at all. I once had a guided tour of a Luftwaffe VFW 614, but no experience with the Dornier.
I do think it’s a pity that aircraft design now seems fixated on twin jets with underslung engines. Every Airbus now looks the same, they just come in different sizes.

The RJX should never have been killed off. Too few manufacturers making the same old design, and those that try to be different or creative get sold out or bought up. You can’t beat the DH/ HS design book. :+1:

Thanks for the update - it’s a real beauty, take your time
Please consider a Xbox version too when the coding problem from ms/Asobo is solved

Gosh the anticipation, excitement and suspense is really starting to kill me OMG OMG OMG I am starting to hyperventilate.
When will this be released…??? How did it all go with the SU, guys at Just Flight??? Nothing broken??

How’s the build holding up in SU9?

It seems ok and no major issues. Other bits and pieces of work covering important things still ongoing though. We’ll give an update tomorrow on where things stand with a potential release.

Thanks to everyone for their interest and their patience.

Good things come to those…

… who are impatient and ask you the msfs equivalent of ‘are we there yet?’ Every day?

More news on the 146 tomorrow folks. It’s highly unlikely we’ll release this week now. Lot of extra work to complete and get tested including the EFB work, the FMS work and turning the one variant into the eight variants. It’s close now, just final bits to tidy and test, this will be done over the weekend and into the start of next week. More news tomorrow when we hope to be able to issue the pre-release build out to selected media outlets and streamers for more coverage pre-release. Bear with us, we’ll tell more and you’ll see more over the coming days. Thanks all for your interest, patience and kind and positive feedback up until this point.

At this point I really don’t think anyone can moan about you taking more time to dot some I’s and cross some t’s. Particularly in light of the recent Sim Update. :+1:

Usually I’d be pretty annoyed by that small delay, but with the new SU just out, it’s hardly surprising really. Plus, I’m flying the Maddog for a week straight anyway, so that bought them some further patience

Annoyed? I’d much rather them take a little extra time to make sure the product is as “buttoned up” as possible than force an early release.

I mean, either way people are going to complain. :person_shrugging:

I’m stoked. Can’t wait to see the new -146!
