Then it’s just the uselessness of the current inbuilt ATC. It doesn’t care about your Simbrief flightplan anyway, I thik you have to also provide a minimal plan in the ingame flight plan to have any relevance in the MSFS ATC.
That sounds very much like what @BragRaindrop933 posted a bit earlier and reiterated here:
I see! It seems to be an issue with the sim then. I was not sure if the issue might be in front of the screen ^^
The issue doesn’t seem to be happening with other aircraft eg. the 737. Although I’ve not had the time to try any others. The other person who saw this issue was also using the 146 V2, so it seems like a 146 thing. It could relate to out of date nav databases, but my navigraph sub is up to date, the sim airac is up to date and the 146 is up to date (from the navigraph hub), so I’ve no idea what’s causing ATC to assign wrong altitudes on sids (and stars) as well as having a ref point for my aircraft of 0ft. Interesting to hear you are seeing the same issue though. I was wondering if the UNS1 wasn’t seeing the correct up to date nav data (it ships with airac 2303 or something like that), but I have no idea though, as the files in the 146 work /nav directory are date coded with what looks like up to date data.
The other person seeing this is on SU14, so it cant be a SU15 beta thing either as I had initially suspected.
I will check my Navigraph - I think the Bae 146 was not up to date. Will do this and try again. Funny enough I never had any such issues with the 146 prior the update. I am pretty sure the update did something - but then again not many are complaining?
It’s 146 V2 issue. I fly regularly PMDG, Fenix and 146 and only have this issue with the latter.
I am glad more people reporting it, hopefully JF will look into it.
Not everyone uses in game ATC though. I haven’t flown the 146 in a while, but I’ve never encountered atc alt assignments like this before in 2 1/2 years of using this sim, and I use atc on most flights, so I know all its usual workarounds and pitfalls. Flew the 737 last night and atc was fine. It’s weird.
I take it we are all using the UNS1?
JF acknowledged the issue and will look into it.

For the time being the workaround is to request a new flight level before you reach the initial climb altitude.
That’s good to hear so it is a 146/uns1 thing.
With the JF 146 you get the -100, -200, -300 and plus the QT freighter conversions all included. If you are lucky like I was, I bought it off marketplace in a 20% off sale.
With the Fenix you initially only got the -200 CFM version but now includes the IAE engine variant too.
I have both aircraft and I highly recommend the -146. But be warned, this is not a plane that you can leave the cockpit for long periods! You have to constantly monitor the instruments.
I am afraid you responded to a wrong person. I’ve been flying both planes since summer last year.
Yes you do get a lot of variants with it and a lot of liveries too. I agree.
I also bought it but got it from the Just Flight store and there was a great discount on offer there too.
I’m mainly a GA simer so I have made more than my own fair share of mistakes tbh. Getting to grips with it now though and loving the UNS 1. Finding it a bit more challenging than the PMDG 737 but definitely in a good way ![]()
I’m thinking about finally buying it as it’s currently on sale still on the marketplace but one thing I can’t figure out regarding the different variants, are there visible interiors for the freighter/“statesman” variants?
I only use the passenger versions so can’t say for sure (I can only guess). When I go on FS20 next (today) I will check for you.
By the way I’ve just logged on to JF and it looks like (in the UK anyway) that the sale has now ended and the 146 is back to the full price of £52.49.
I am in UK and it’s still on sale.
Regarding visible cargo. There is an option in EFB called “Visible Cargo” but I don’t know how it supposed to work. The cargo area is boarded off from the galley anyway.
You can move there with drone camera though.
I just logged on right now to the JF website and can confirm that it is no longer on sale on their website at least from my place in the UK. The price is now showing at £52.49. The price you are showing of £46.74 looks more like the discounted Market Place price as I recall. My post however was directed towards the price on their website where there was the biggest discount.
The discounted price I actually paid on the Just Flight website before it returned to full price was £38 something.
Very strange.
Maybe Just Flight would be kind enough to confirm whether or not this is still on sale because tbh this isn’t making much sense atm.
But disastronought mentioned Marketplace in his post, not JF website.
Marketplace sale ends tomorrow. If JF decided to finish the sale on their website it’s up to them. They don’t have to match Marketplace price.
Is the v2 coming to XBox tonight?
Anybody finding the flight plan disappearing from the weather radar screen when changing from the MAP opton to say WX and back or changing the NAV1 course (just below middle screen of cockpit)?
Can’t seem to get the flight plan showing again.
Yes, something is amiss on the weather radar / map display.
Sometimes it works great and sometimes for me it locks up where you can’t even turn the radar unit off.
I believe JF is aware of the issue and is trying to find a solution.
