Our West Highland White terrier loves travelling but never had him up in an aircraft. Be great if he could go with me in the sim!
Oh, by the way, any idea when this might be ready? Not rushing you of course, just interested.
A fox or a bunny would make great companions too in cockpits. Don´t hold back with your creativity we all love cute animals.

Wow I want that cat! Is this a real mod adding a cat to the copilot seat or just some Photoshop image?
Real mod; it will replace the co-pilot model and attach the new dog or cat submodel. So, just like you can select your human character in the settings menu, you can now select a furry companion to accompany you as well instead of a human. While we only have a common cat and golden retriever, more variety and/or possible animals will be added as we learn more about the behaivor. Since this replaces the co-pilot model, it will be compatible with every plane in your hanger that utilizes Asobos Character System. Of course, the placement of these companions may not be perfect, and that’s entirely up to how the aircraft developer placed their attach node to their aircraft. For 99% of developers, they didn’t adjust the default pose, so for most aircraft it should look pretty good.

A bit of advice: never let your cat take the controls.
A well-trained dog, maybe, but it’d not end well with a cat.

Here’s a silly question which might turn out to be a valid one. With the cat being co-pilot, do we still have the ability to have the co-pilot talk to ATC for us? Dr Doolittle ATC implications here!
My son might re-install MSFS on the strength of these new furry co-pilots!

Important Information:
This add-on extends the current available character set in Microsoft Flight Simulator to include animal companions. Currently, Kilo is the only animal companion included. However, we plan on adding more animals in the near future. Companions can be selected in the GENERAL OPTIONS → MISC settings under Pilot / Copilot Options. With this approach, companions are compatible with any aircraft utilizing MSFS Characters.
NOTE: The placement of the companion is fully dependent on the location of the attachment point. This position is not modified by our add-on. If the companion’s position is clipping through the seat or only available in External View, this is because the aircraft you are using does not have an optimal setup for a companion. These positions are maintained by the respective aircraft developer(s) and we will not be modifying positions or LODs in any aircraft.

Awesome!! Can I seat him into the Fenix Airbus co-pilot seat?
I absolutely NEED this mod implemented into the Flight Sim as fix permanent co-pilot figure to choose from!
Finally the Fenix Airbus has not one but two cats in the cockpit. Captain cat on the bridge! Or a dog as copilot like in the movie “I am Legend” with Will Smith when flying Umbrella Corporation cargo over the vast postapocalyptic landscapes of Nevada.

Kilo is currently the only companion. He’s is the beta test dog for sure! More to come in the future. I haven’t flown the Fenix myself, but as long as it is using the Asobo Character Setup then he is good to go! Just hoping he fits in the seat. I haven’t been able to test with all aircraft. There are some aircraft that have odd seats and it’s a little weird. That said, I’ve done my best to optimize the perfect alignment that should be visually pleasing for most aircraft.

Although the pilot model dogs don’t seem to fit the Optica well. Arlo look a lot more comfortable there than Kilo though. Wish I could load up that centre seat with another one.
