I wouldn’t consider Steam achievements overly accurate. Here’s my reasons:
Many players bought 2024 and quit because of the bugs. Helos tended to be more buggy than planes. Did more helo players quit? We can’t know for sure…
Steam achievements often do not work in beta
Steam achievements don’t work with Dev mode turned on
Steam is less than half of the total users and very possibly represent more “gamers” which probably won’t default to helos
Steam also has achievement hunters who will go out of their way to get an achievement, then quit doing whatever that achievement required which throws our estimate the other way
Around .1% of Steam users use Steam Achievement Manager to give themselves achievements they haven’t earned. It’s free, easy to use and allows easy 100% completion.
Mission Hub is universally compatible and aircraft agnostic. You can create missions for any aircraft on your simulator.
However, the +30 missions included are designed for MH60, as they require some degree of systems integration. You’ll see it labeled in the UI as “MH60 Mission Pack”. Similar to this mission pack, there will be future packages for other aircraft (past releases or future) on our catalog.
We are also encouraging 3rd party developers to create and distribute their own missions/packages.
You have a base, which is a ship in the Heli Forester scenery (https://flightsim.to/file/67641/heli-forester) and you have to shuttle crews from the base to various logging helipads in the surrounding forest. Sometimes they need tools, so you sling load those from the ship to one of the pads.
With the current mission pack, I could build a linear mission with hardcoded sequence (ship → helipad 3 → ship → helipad 6 → ship → helipad 1, etc.) but that’ll get repetitive soon.
Is there any chance that the mission hub will have the capability to randomly select from a list of objectives and then deactivate/reactivate an objective? So in my example, after spawning, I could randomly pick one of say 10 helipads as the objective, when getting there, select the ship as the objective, back on the ship, pick again a random helipad, and so on?
Aaaach … now i get it … My bad i didnt look on your site before. Its kinda sad, i paid not exactly small amount for the heli on the marketplace and didnt get any mission for it as the mission hub is standalone pack … No wonder, you dont wanna push it into career mode as you will earn nothing from it
It’s also worth noting that only aircraft sold through the MS Marketplace for FS24 are compatible with Career Mode, as Microsoft has decided to make it a “closed ecosystem” - hence you will see very few 3rd party aircraft compatible.
Since this represents only a small portion of our total sales, with the majority coming from our own website (and hence incompatible with careers) it remains logical to continue focusing on expanding our in-house Mission Editor.
Speaking of, Mission Hub is now available for PC and Xbox on the MSFS2020 Marketplace.
You posted a request based on data that may or may not exist. It’s not up to me to prove what you are trying to say. If you want to be taken seriously, site your sources and back up what you are trying to argue.
Yeah, this makes full sense to me … And since i understand now, why you decided to do it this way. Even if you said, you will consider it, i dont have any hope for it. I just tried to get more info if your helicopter, which is one of the best currently in the game, would be later in the gaming mode i spend 90% of my flight time or not. Still, it would be great if so, but if not… I can live with it.
Btw, sorry if i was rude. Didnt meant it.
Another question for devs, or maybe everybody who is using SU4 beta … Do you have issues with walking around the heli? I cannot move, but my character is walking. Is it caused by SU4 beta?
And what about ATC? They call me just once, and then, they are silent. I just see subtitles from them.
Am i not correct that the toag 500 c has HELSO in free flight? because it seems to me that 100% it does. If so then can that same thing be done here?. Or am i wrong.
I believe it does, but it is a similar solution to what we’ve implemented, and not relying on full soft-body cable physics. Those are locked behind Career Mode.
Both of those are contradicting - character is walking but I guess you can’t rotate the camera is what you mean?
In any case, this is most likely a sim/keybind issue. The aircraft has no impact on how Walkaround mode works.
About ATC - usualy, when i start the engines, my copilot call the ATC tower and request the take off. Then ATC responds back. Then my copilot doesnt say anything, only subtitles are visible. Same with ATC - i will record video later today.
Yeah, this is unrelated to the aircraft most likely. Walkaround mode is a native simulator feature, the aircraft does not interfere with it (beyond the crashboxes to avoid the character going through). Given that you are on SU4 Beta, I’d suggest you report this on the corresponding channels.
Okay, I assume you are using some sort of “Automatic copilot communications” feature? (Sorry not too familiar with it). In any case, COMM1 vs. COMM2 may have an effect
