As we continue receiving messages asking when will Supercarrier Pro be available on Xbox/MS Marketplace, we would like to address the current situation.
PC: We are still awaiting confirmation from MS that everything is good to go. The product has now been tested on PC thousands of times by customers + our team (and we know it works just fine) but they have processes in place that must be followed. We are now probably looking at a release next week. If you’re on PC, we remind you that the best way of getting the product is through our website (https://store.miltechsimulations.com/)
Xbox: I wish I had better news to share - but unfortunately not the case this time. MS/Asobo has identified a bug in the filepath handling of MSFS (Xbox Version) that may result in CTDs when using Supercarrier Pro. Asobo is working on a fix, but we do not have any ETAs on when/how that fix will be rolled out. We continue waiting for confirmation from the Dev Team on how to proceed. To be clear, this is an MSFS bug, not a Supercarrier bug.
We are equally as frustrated as some of you are who are waiting for Supercarrier Pro to drop on Xbox. Unfortunately, we cannot catch these Xbox-specific bugs during development as we don’t have any option other than waiting for Marketplace injection before the product is tested on Xbox.
Supercarrier Pro is now available at the MS Marketplace for PC!
We are expecting the required MSFS Xbox bugfixes to drop within the next few weeks, with a release of Supercarrier Pro on Xbox following shortly after.
Is anyone else having an issue where planes wont throttle up? Specifically on the f14, the engines shut down, I have to restart them and once it gets to the catapult the throttle doesn’t go up. I’m not teleporting or anything so I don’t know the issue
Some great news for those waiting for Supercarrier Pro on Xbox!
Asobo has just confirmed the issues with Xbox have been fixed on the upcoming SU14, and we are resuming testing shortly. If everything goes as planned, we should be releasing on Xbox in the next few weeks.
The latest update for Supercarrier Pro is on its way to distributors and should be live in just a few hours. The CVN-76 Island has been meticulously updated for greater accuracy, now reflecting the design of the later Nimitz class carriers. Modern arrestors can be toggled “always on” The arresting gear’s efficiency is now aircraft-specific, offering improved performance for planes with higher stall speeds. Enhanced lighting across the board. Teleporting capabilities have been fine-tuned for all aircraft. Plus, numerous bugs have been squashed in this update. Full changelog here: Supercarrier Pro v1.0.3 - Released Nov 16th
V1.1.0 is in production and will add CVN-69, Charles de Gaulle, and Independence-class Ships.
Stay tuned for a new CHINOOK DEV UPDATE this weekend.
This a great product, but to be honest all I’m looking for is comparable high quality WW2 Yorktown, Enterprise, or Essex class carrier. I don’t fly modern jets, only GA and WW2 props so they hold the most interest for me. I thought I read that you folks are working on it so I have high hopes you’ll provide an awesome WW2 experience for my Hellcat and Corsair!
Coming shortly after SU14 The good news is, we are just a couple of weeks away from SU14!
Xbox will get also a more mature version of the product - most, if not all the bugs found on earlier versions are now fixed.
Contrail is pretty great, happy to be working with them. IMHO is probably the best addon management app out there. Clean and friendly design, extensive catalog, flexible for the developer’s needs. It also keeps all your content updated automatically.
[I must add that we only use Contrail as software management app. We do not sell on the Contrail’s marketplace, as our sole 3rd party distributor is ORBX. All products bought on the Miltech Store are activated through the Contrail App]
