Thanks for that - Manston was definitely on our list as part of our planned “Battle of Britain” collection but it is a great call to also include its 1943 configuration when 617 visited.
Suggest reconstructing 1943-1945 USAAF 8th Air Force 1st Division, 1st Bomb Wing bases, especially:
- RAF Ridgewell - 381st BG (Heavy) - My main interest, family member on B-17G Los Angeles City Limits, 535th BS (MS).
- RAF Nuthampstead - 398th BG (Heavy)
- RAF Bassingbourn - 91st BG (Heavy)
Thanks, they are all on a roadmap. Maybe it is time to go public with just plans…?

Thinking (a long way maybe) ahead. When you have scratched you BoB itch would you consider a focus on the East Anglian Air Force - WW2 bomber country? Full disclosure - I spent about a third of my 40yr RAF career at Wattisham, Honington, Coltishall, Binbrook & Wittering 
Weston super mare airfield would be nice. It’s covered with houses and a pond now, but in the 80s there was an old control tower and a couple of hangars along with civilian and ATC gluding clubs . The runway and perimeter tracks were still serviceable, though no longer licenced.
So, we have twenty five historic airfield collections mapped out, including one covering Bomber Command’s bases in Yorks, Linc and East Anglia.

I am aiming for one as release No 3 if Kenley and Tempsford are successful.
Funnily enough, it is also included in one of our collections!
I am connected to some of the heritage initiatives in WsM and so am keen to develop it.

I’d like to suggest Tarrant Rushton. The site itself is now farmland but as far as I’m aware no roads have been added that cut across runways or anything. In terms of historical significance, whilst it did not open until the middle of the war, it played host to glider tugs that lifted paratroopers to Pegausus Bridge on D-Day. After the war, the site was significant for the development of in flight refueling. It’s also quite a nice location on top of a hill.

Having driven past it many times, yes it forms part of our planned Operation Overlord Collection. 
Yep, I think Bassingbourn can be left. As a result of of a field trip on New Year’s Day, Rougham might well be our first 8th Air Force release.
And the Battle of The Atlantic Collection includes Davidstow Moor in the expectation of an eventual Beaufighter release.
Firstly, I am quite awestruck by the depth of your plans - sounds like a lifetime’s work. Obviously a labour of love and I really do wish you the very best with your endeavours. Secondly, if we’re talking 8th Air Force then RAF Watton would be nice for me. The runway is still there at least in part, although now covered in straw bale pig pens, and much of the taxiways are still visible. The hangars are now gone, replaced with hutches for humans. After the war I believe it was variously a home for Washingtons, Lincolns, Valiants and Canberras before becoming Eastern Radar. The old Guardroom and SHQ now house a small museum. Although I now live in NW Wales my kids and their families still live in the town. The married quarters there were occupied by personnel from Honington up until just a few years ago.

And I have friend who grew up and lived in Watton and who has also been lobbying for its inclusion so you never know!
As you will appreciate, one of the things about East Anglia was the sheer density of airfields when you map them all out and I would love to be able to capture a sense of that through the sim.

Does Arrows Across America scenery work well in MSFS 2024?
Well, it works but the standardisation to the 2024 terrain scenery has affected the elevation and positioning of specfiic sites.
We have been chipping away at correcting them but you can imagine it is a bit of a slow job given the number oof beacon sites and landing fields.
If you are flying any of the routes and spot ones that are really obvious it woudl be really helpful to have a heads up so that we can prioritise.
