Return to Misty Moorings

You’re welcome…

To me, just seemed to make sense to build an all-in-one master especially that there is a linker app… extract where you want it, link the main folder.. and done… Very quick to setup..

Norm

ps: NixieLion, subnesting fixed.. (It was the double folder in the zip structure but fixed now). The new single zip as well as the big all-in-one master have been recompiled and will posted on the site asap. Thanks again NixieLion.

Thank you so much to the creators of this add on! What a perfect playground for the float variant of the Beaver! I’ve been having fun all weekend flying around, taking off and landing from the many water runways near remote cabins.

Great you are enjoying it, Joe. (We have fun with it too!). Some of those cabins are tucked away in the woods … all of them are positioned exactly as they really are, so some are difficult to see. Don’t forget you can turn on your SmartCam, Select the ICAO of the cabin, and go to the exterior view, and press “S” and it should point the camera right at the cabin.

Okay, long-time fan going back to previous sims, and MSFS RTMM user for a while now, but just wanted to say “thanks” for the single package! It was hard to keep everything up-to-date with it all spread out, so if this package will be updated as you update individual elements it’s going to make it a lot easier to stay up to date!

(And thank you for the superb scenery!!!)

A hat tip to Norm who gets all the credit for the single download scenario (Nbrich1), you see him responding here. It was his idea to combine everything into a single download and he keeps that up to date for us. Norm also runs the Misty Flying Club, the associated flying club for RTMM. He keeps track of over 500 flight plans to and from all of our locations. So with all our locations and the MFC, we can keep RTMM enthusiasts busy for a very long time! Also, for the P3D folks, there is also a single download scenario for all of those locations.

And to think that I was going to make this proposal on the forum. Thank you to him,
Last suggestion, a registration on a mailing list to be notified of updates.

oow, the fictional locations and the hassle of installing/keeping things up to date is what kept me away from RTMM. I’ve just downloaded it now, and looking forward to exploring everything that was created now.

Thanks for the easier way. You’ll post here as well if an update is out?

edit; Lovely stuff, really, thanks for the easy single click download

UPDATE NOTIFICATION - The combined url for RTMM (full download) has been updated, (11.28.2022). We have added Port Protection SPB (19P) to the scenery group. You can always find the latest updated url HERE.

Don’t forget to look at these spb’s with low light conditions (typical up there), sunset/dawn/night. We spend a lot of time on the lighting for these. In this case, the “village” was hidden in the trees, I cleared them all out, landscaped each structure, then added back the trees. All structures have a streetlight so all can be seen at night and during low light conditions. If you look at this location in Google Earth, you will see our structures exactly match the satellite image. Also, when starting at these, be sure to use the DOCK parking, not the runway. This puts you right on the location instead of somewhere far out in the water.

Nice idea to keep them as pack, without the excellent way flightsim.to works it would be really challenging for any other website to keep up.

Great Job DOUG!

any idea war cause this, only plane and misty installed?

get this at a lot places, never see before…no changes in settings,no devmode on..
most at ships around PAKT,think only ships get this,
other ship traffic work…
thank´s

So I’m not 100% sure about this, and can’t confirm this at this time, but I have the same issue with some ships. Someone somewhere in this forum or Discord said it was because you need to download the Top Gun DLC- which I never had bothered to download. Something about a smoke object in that DLC’s library.

Genius! It worked for me, thanks VERY much!

Before:

After:

And for this last one I won’t show the video of me taxiing to the dock and the wing slicing through the lamppost… But I will post the landing on the ice/snow on the water. I really did not know what to expect when I spawned on top of a whole bunch of snow and ice at Zeballos CAA5. But I was able to taxi (with LOTS of power!) and take off OK. I was also afraid landing would have triggered a “collided with an object” problem but no: all good!

It would be nice if the water showed “snow” and the landing medium was automatically hard, like ice. But no complaints, amazing what Asobo has done so far. They’ll get there!

If anyone is running into a small problem with RTMM, let us know, we are going through all of the locations and cleaning the “little things”. We keep track of the change log HERE. When we get enough “little ones” we put up a new “combined zip” for the whole site.
