Return to Misty Moorings

I started a new thread to show the video: can be seen here:

Just a query, I do have all your individual downloads here and there (cabins and so on), these are still valid or you are packing them up?

And I was wondering if it was a bug or a problem with my installation, with my C172!!!
MFS0200,

We will continue the individual downloads. Just be sure to “keep up” with the changes via the NOTAMs and the Change Log if a new “combined zip” comes out. Individual downloading gives you more control over what you have and see, but most people seem to prefer the single download. Does that answer your question?

Awesome! I just registered for an account. I’ve come across a few minor things that might warrant a fix (2-dimensional posts at Thorn Bay, floating pelican and car in water at Misty’s Place):

I wonder - is there a way to make piers solid so the plane doesn’t drift through them? On the Beaver, I can drop an anchor, but on the Kodiak, eventually the plane will drift into the pier.

As a quick onboard solution just use Active Pause. It freezes the aircraft in place but the rest of the sim keeps going. The only downside: it stops bobbing up and down on the water as well.

Hi Dave. OK, there is a new version of Thorne Bay SPB (V1.03) that gets rid of the 2-D posts. It is on the Scenery Page now, and will be in the next combined zip update. We probably won’t “harden” the docks. When we did, many people complained they were getting a “crash”, so we stopped doing that. I agree with Jigsaw, the Active Pause is the way to go. The anchor with the Beaver doesn’t hold me, it swings with the wind. Working on the vehicle problem at Misty’s Place. I checked it myself (and have 100’s of times) and I have a FIRETRUCK there!. I have no idea where this is coming from, it is a recent change and the team is working on it. Thank you for pointing it out. I’ll keep you posted.

UPDATE: On PF21, Misty’s Place. I deleted all of my Cache files, and Scenery Indices, and got rid of the content.xml file and the errant vehicle is gone. It only happened on PF21, PF20 was ok. Let me know if this works for you.

To immobilize the seaplanes at the dock, for my part, I use the pushback toolbar, you activate it and miraculously the plane stays in place without having to pause the game.
You keep the movement effects of the swell, you can even start the engines without the plane moving.
I even linked the pushback function to a button on my joystick, I just have to press and the function opens, immobilizing the seaplane.

were to find now,i think it use a other one now?
i delite the last 2 months ago,i does not rebuild…

Now that it is gone, I’m not sure however, I used THIS tool to find it … “Everything” … you just type in content.xml and it will show you where on your computer you can find it. This is an everyday tool for me, bet it can help you too.

thank´s,but i think i stay away from tooös like this,i do not know…

Thank you for the suggestion - I will look into this further. Much appreciated!

Lorby has a small mooring app - haven’t tried it though.

I really love the explore RTMM with the Cabri G2 or Bell 407. The only thing that I miss are helipads selectable on the world map. But of course that feature is very new, so it will take some time until it gets implemented in sceneries.

Jason…if you do a CTRL-F on the Navigation page in the waypoints table and search for Heli, all of our helipads are listed for you. Even though they are not real, I am slipping some helipads into the SPBs. I put one at Coffman Cove this week. (It will be in the combined zip in a couple of weeks, but ready for an individual group download in the scenery page now). If you see a need for a helipad in a key place, let me know. I can’t put any at the cabins, but if there is a pontoon mod for helicopters that would be great fun.

Update: I’ve now added helipads to all the AK SPBs. The manual download is “SPBs for RTMM by Doug” and it is ready for download now. But this and many other changes will be in the December 2022 enhancement “Express” download that will be coming soon. Next, I’m working on helipads for the Tongass A and B docks sets now. Hope this helps the helo guys and gals.

12.08.2022 - RTMM has updated Alaska SPBs and one Set of Docks with helipads and white/green navigational lights. The updated compiled zip is on the RTMM HOME PAGE as is an updated FLIGHT PLANS zip that gives you routing to all of the RTMM locations. We will continue adding the helipads to other docks and to the lighthouse scenery sets and keep you updated on improvements as promised.

Loving it!

The Sea Otter Sound Lodge has a slight levitation problem:

Wow, thank you so much!!!

I was not even thinking of the sea plane bases, just the light houses that already had helipads. In the version that I have currently installed, many of them have a Gate H1 parking position, but I cannot start there with a helicopter. The sim always says that I cannot take off from a water runway with the selected aircraft.

Partially thank you

Like can I delete all single download and download packs or a single download instead? Easier to keep up without the notification on site like Flightsim.to

Thank you Doug!

Are you on version 2.0 of the Sea Otter Sound Lodge? You are clearly missing a part of the building, maybe an object library you didn’t download.

Everything is fine on my side
