same issue, tried all fixed listed here.
I’ve had this issue as well.
I actually did have rolling cache turned on since the reinstall, but I just tested it with and without rolling cache. I also deleted the nvidia cache folders and still have the issue.
Hi, thanks for the responses. Can everyone vote on the bug thread mentioned above?
I’ve got this as well. Not sure if it happens all the time though. Just deleted the GPU cache and I’ll do some testing.
I started to notice it during SU10 beta. If it was already existing before I was not aware of it at least. It´s really ugly.
Cheers
In DX12 mode I assume? I had it too, went back to DX11 and no problems (so far)
Also experiencing the same issue. Even on dx11
Unfortunately I can’t test DX11 as the game doesn’t load in that mode anymore for me, it just crashes with this error Warning: Your graphics device has encountered a problem - #1182 by Jeffsim6956
But for someone who is able to use DX11 that should be an easy test
Same problem as of yesterday. What is goin on ???
In DX12 and SU11 beta flying around the LA area. Don’t get the issue. Had it before. I wonder what triggers it?
This has got nothing to do with Dev mode, rolling cache or anything user related.
It’s happening for everyone, whether Xbox or pc. Only a matter of time before you discover a location or area where this happens.
I’m flying out of KPHX now , doing same thing and also downtown phoenix is Horrid …Melted buildings looks like apocalypse ohhhh wow !
Ongoing photogammetry issues in pretty much all locations. Surfaced since SU10.
Relax though… they will get to it in due time. ![]()

Same issue yesterday in North Africa (I think it was Lybia, I’ll try to find the spot again).
It was especially noticeable since the LOD0 textures (the high quality ones that appear closer to you) were sand-colored while the further away ones were green !
This has been an ongoing issue for many months as far as I can remember. If you look back the blocks disappear too… They are only popping in and out around your plane. Happens on specific areas of the map only. Ooorrr… Could be a server specific issue… Or maybe incomplete/improper photogammetry.
Yup, the trigger is the distance to the plane.
The problem happens in non-photogrammetry areas ; it is a LOD (level of detail) issue where the LOD0 (highest quality, for stuff close to the plane) textures do not originate from the same images than the other LODs. Which may be ok for a map site like Bing Maps (having colors / seasons shift when you zoom in) but is of course unacceptable in a flight sim.
Well, all I know is it’s been happening for a very long time and happens in specific areas only… You’re right I think… Only in non-photogammetey areas.
You’ll also see parts of the map that look like blurry jigsaw puzzles at height. Luckily, FS is a work in progress so we’ll be seeing lots of good stuff in future for sure. ![]()

Still experiencing this in some areas - example today, flight from Shanghai to Beijing, over China. Have a nice geometrical shape of photogrammetry beneath me which follows me and always looks great, but outside of that shape, garbage generic scenery. And it loads and disappears always remaining just a specific area right beneath the plane.
