Slowly I begin to understand the situation in Nuremberg (and the issues you had to face):
Asobo located these rather oversized (and erroneously evergreen) deciduous trees in the city on purpose to mask the even worse PG trees there.
Now that “Seasons Enhanced” shrinks the trees back to normal size, the PG trees become too prominent, and since it’s not feasible to remove them one by one you chose to remove PG in whole districts of the city having many trees. Am I right?
Hmm … tricky situation.
I guess I can only hope that some future World Update will replace the several years old photogrammetry in Nuremberg with a version where the PG trees are less obtrusive. PG technology has advanced quite a bit since then, as I can see in other cities.
So I don’t blame you for your decisions, I just wonder what is the lesser evil … oversized trees or some oversized generic buildings … ?
Thank you. Yes, it covers all Africa but more changes coming in desert area in next update.
More banana plantation will be added in next update.
I will add these to my todo list.
Exactly. So what was done, was the best way for now to clean up the area.
If you wish to restore the original, remove the "reference file only; not the folder.
I am interested in your add-on but I have a some concerns/questions.
Does your add-on change anything in the default SIM by applying some kind of generic rulesets defined by you or is every single change handcrafted in a particular spot?
An example of an add-on applying a ruleset for changes globally would be the enhancement airport graphics by Zinertek. That means all airports are automatically enhanced by the add-on, they do not need to be handcrafted.
In case everything is handcarfted in some certain areas of the world then there must be some kind of obvious changes on the ground whenever you leave an area that was changed by you. So let’s say you adjusted a huge forest in an area by appliyng different kinds of trees/bushes and gras colours. What happens if this particular part/tile is ending? Than there must be a sudden change on the ground while flying.
I watched a some YouTube videos hoping to get some answers to my questions but all the videos only show the particular changes in areas that have been mentioned in your change logs and do not show any transitions when leaving areas.
Generally, you shouldn’t experience sudden changes in vegetation when using my add-on. However, if you’re also using an airport add-on, there might be instances where differences in terrain or vegetation are more apparent. While these reports are rare, some users have informed me about extra trees or bushes in certain airport areas. To resolve this issue, I create exclusion areas to keep the airports clear. If you encounter any specific problem areas, please feel free to reach out to me, and I’ll make the necessary adjustments.
Hi Bijan, please do not forget to have a look onto EDDB and the PG there. Maybe you can do this on the city of Berlin as well.
But I must admit anyway, that your work and your communication here with all your kindness in updating Seasons Enhanced is truly outstanding. Big applause from my side.
Just wanted to start by saying thanks for all your work to make MSFS a better place!
I was recently flying in New Zealand and found that the forest there looks pretty horrendous. The area I was in (around -40.9713 175.3837) should be dense, mature native forest, but in the sim it appeared to be covered with low, sparse shrubs and bushes. I haven’t explored around the rest of the country at low level, but as best I could tell, this vegetation type seemed to be used for this entire mountain range. I guess from up high it kind of looks like the tops of trees and isn’t too bad, but it looks pretty terrible from anything other than far away. I know you usually handle smaller, focused areas, so I’m not sure if it’s something you would be able to take on, but I thought maybe you’d be able to tell if MSFS classified it all as the wrong vegetation type?
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. You are awesome! I’ve enjoyed your work ever since you issued the first version. It’s truly a game changer.
With that said, I hesitate to add to your work load but…There’s a huge area of hundreds of square miles north of Palembang, South Sumatra that could use some Bijan love. From the limited research I’ve done, it appears to be mostly palm oil plantations. But in the sim it’s just generic trees. I’ve included a photo from Google maps showing the general area in question. It’s not a high priority for me since I’ve already flown over it on my world tour. But others might benefit.
Thanks again for all you do. I wish there were more talented people like you that could make an impact as you have. Saludos.
Having read that post (and having mentioned UK PG and Oxford specifically previously), Oxford Airport (EGTK) with the PilotPlus add-on has a lot of trees around the perimeter and on the airport itself that shouldn’t be there.
Can you post or email me a screenshot? I don’t have the PilotPlus add-on so I cannot see the excess trees you are referring to. That way I know where to draw the exclusion area.
Hallo Bijan, i send you a Email a few Weeks ago about the Region of Mount Säntis with Photos from Trees in this TIN Area who looked like Cliffs, and i saw that the Trees at Mount Säntis also are going to high, there are no Trees higher then the Valley Station from “Säntisbahn” at “Schwägalp”. I see it on your Website a few days but now never in a Update. Is it on your list now? Thank you for your Work!
