Sim always defaults to "windowed"

Since last update my sim always starts in windowed mode, instead of fullscreen.

Yes, since this morning . When reaches the " checking updates " on load up ,sim window switches to windowed just like when we have actual updates . The problem is, there is no update ,

1.37.8.0 - regression: Custom window size being reset every time app is started. Also fullscreen mode reverting to windowed mode

Its always been the case that the app window size is reset (in my case to 3840 2160) every time an update is made but once resized to my liking the size is retained (until the next update!). With version 1.37.8.0 this is no longer the case and every start of the app sees the window size being reset to 3840 2160. (Edit 13/03/2023 - I’ve read posts from other members that the ‘checking for updates’ part of the loading process is taking longer even on non-beta installs therefore my suggestion that…

MSFS since today only launch windowed so I have to select full screen and safe changes, but anyway after restart, it launches windowed again. I have not updated or installed anything different in past days.
I have tried to look after all my settings, repair the simulator without any result…
Suggestions please?

Exactly the same here, nothing that I changed. Starting today, 1.36.2.0 always opens in Windowed mode.

ALT + ENTER is the fastest way to switch to full screen.

Same problem, opens in widowed mode every time I start the sim despite me changing it full screen and saving.

As AboardFaun said above there is a microsecond of an update notice. It’s too fast to grab a screenshot. Using the Alt+Enter is a minor inconvenience. However, why should you have to do one more step when your settings should take you right to full screen?

Same issue. For the love of Mike, a nice break between improvements/enhancements/updates would be nice so I can enjoy the sim for a little while.

I have also observed the same thing since, if I am not mistaken, a very small update that took place last week of a few mb’s. I wasn’t even sure what the update was about and thought it may have been an AIRAC version update so I didn’t pay much attention. Now, everytime I start the sim, it checks for update for a fraction of a second and default to window mode when continuing to load.

After last update same thing happens to me. cannot save Full Screen Mode. after a restart reverts back to Window Mode. Please fix Microsoft
